DIS/DIS Unplugged/Dreams Unlimited Travel Event in December

I booked Dec 10-14 at GF for DIS-A-PALOOZA! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Very cool. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I have only stayed at the GF once for 3 nights back in 1995. It is on my list to stay at again sometime, along with trying AKL Club Level.

I am booked at the Wilderness Lodge for the 9th-14th. I will scale it back depending on which day the event is. Probably to the 10th -13th. I have to be there for the 10th because it's my birthday and I want my $75 fun card which I am hoping they let me use at TrenD.

Thanks Kim!:goodvibes
I love GF in December. I stayed there in 2007 for 5 nights. I got spoiled staying there.
I stayed at WL for 10 nights in September 2008. I love the lobby!:goodvibes
We had a "water, pool, and geyser view" at least that is what they told us. We were on the bottom floor. I'm sure when WL was built those rooms had a water, geyser, and pool view, but since then all of the trees grew. :rotfl: If you are coming from the boat dock we were on the right side of the resort. Here is a view from our balcony.

This is the view of the pool.

So make sure if you want a water view you ask for an upper level room.

Thanks for the info Anna. I actually have a woodland view. It was cheaper. I have to restrain my spending a little bit for my Dec trip. Staying in the WDW resorts over the years I have found that sometimes rooms are designated into the wrong view category. Or like you said, the landscaping has changed over time and now the room does not view what it used to. The first time I stayed at the Beach Club I booked a what was then called Lagoon view room. Well I went up to the third floor and waaaay down the hall and excitedly entered my room and saw...........a cement wall. If I went out onto my tini balcony and looked up I could see a tiny bit of blue sky and the top of the ship that contains the water slide. Well I marched my way back down to the front desk and asked for another room. They confirmed that my room was indeed a Lagoon view and I should be able to see Stormalong Bay. I laughed. So the CM said she would go take a look and see for herself. When she came back she readily agreed and found me a great room. I wonder if that room was ever redesignated as a standard view or if some poor unsuspecting guest who paid extra to look at Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk gets stuck looking at that lovely cement wall. :lmao:

Did I miss something - were dates announced???? I need to book, but I was waiting for the dates.:dance3:

No, you didn't miss anything. I used the old dates for mousefest. I did not want to wait till they mad announcements because that could be awhile. From what was said they were going to try and do something around the same time as mousefest. I was thinking they would do something that Friday or Saturday. I could be wrong but that was my thinking.:goodvibes

I went to the front desk and said something also, but all she said was that the view was fine.:confused3

Everyone thinks I go on vacation a lot, if they met you they would change their mind about me.:rotfl: I do have to say this year I have a lot more going on than normal. I feel very lucky to be able to do all of these vacations this year.:goodvibes

I am glad you are coming. I am starting to get excited about this trip and I don't even know what is happening yet.

I am trying to make this trip a long one because we are going to Universal and using our free Superbowl tickets.

I don't need to know what yet. I know it'll be something cool. I just need to when. The waiting is killing me.

I just need to find a way to swing the time off, especially with a trip already scheduled for the month before. I think I can make it happen, mainly because I am feeling less generous with my time towards work this week...

I can't believe I missed Chat on Wednesday - did they at least hint when they would give us a date????
