Okay, I'm going to give this a second try this morning. I had everything typed up but had not hit "Submit New Thread" yet. I walked out of my room and when I came back I had the blue screen of death. I had to reboot and start again. Luckily I didn't lose any data, just my thread entry!

This week since its a holiday week, I am making this an easy challenge. Our theme will be FOOD! I want layouts that contain pictures of food and/or drink. I don't want just pictures of characters at character meals, I want to see food and/or drink. Tell me about the meal: did you like it? was it too expensive for what you received? would you ever go back? things like that.

Of course, it has to be Disney related. It can be a meal consumed at any Disney park or cruise, it can be a Disney cake, it can even be a meal at home that you used a recipe from a Disney restaurant that you got on the Disney recipe thread on DISboards. If you use a recipe, please incorporate it into your layout.

Deadline is midnight CST, Tuesday, December 2, 2008. My daughters and I will pick our favorite layout and the other will be drawn at random. I don't have prizes lined up yet, but will have something in place by next week.

UPDATE: We now have prizes thanks to Brittney! Her friend Minna (The Digi Chick) will be offering a $5.00 gift certificate for each of our two winners! Please check out her store at http://www.thedigichick.com/shop/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=43. She has some great stuff!! Thanks again Brittney and Minna!!

Thanks for participating!

I hope you all have a safe, happy and tasty Thanksgiving!

Rochelle

Here are a couple I have done:

I just made a restaurant LO yesterday, but it's one of the few times I didn't take pics of the food, so that's not on the LO. I have lots of choices (love Disney food, and love taking pics of them!), so I just need to decide which to do. :)

I don't want to do housework, so I'm playing. I hardly took any pics of food our last trip, so I did the best I could! This is from Award Weiners at DCA.

Great layout, Jan! I love all the colors and that chili dog looks delicious!

I love taking food pictures! Here's my layout for this week.

Fran: We love to eat at Mama Melrose also! We have ressies there on Christmas Eve. The colors in your papers match your pics perfectly! Nice LO!

Robin: It looks like the kids are having a wonderful time. Is that a drink coaster or a menu you have used as an embellie? Great LO! Love the glitter frames and alpha.

I see from the lack of posts that everyone is having a hectic holiday weekend. We had a football playoff game today. Our school is in the run for the state playoffs. We won again today! Go Hawks!

I had lots of ideas for my LO, but then I realized I didn't take pics of the food at those places! Ugh! Oh well, I definitely needed to scrap this one anyway because Le Cellier is one of my favorite dining experiences! We totally lucked out getting the ADR for dinner because when we called, someone *just* had cancelled. We didn't go back this time because I didn't want to worry about trying and not getting it, but we're going to plan on trying next trip.

I love this page, the brown print is really pretty, and the food pics- mmmm!!

I had to really dig... and now I know I'll take more food pictures on the next trip. I always love looking at others photos of the food at Disney, but I never remember to take my own. Here are a few from the buffet at Parrot Cay on the Disney Magic as we arrived on the ship.

I also altered a template by Britt just a little. :)

Britt: Awwwww! That is too sweet. What a great way to spend your anniversary. Fun elements and great colors!

kswm30b: Le Cellier=YUM! It is a great restaurant. That is on our list of must do's also. Love the background paper and your stacked photos for your title. Fantastic food pics! Great job!

Jan: Britt's kit worked great for the colors in Parrot Cay. Cute pics. Great job!

Here is my entry:

This was a fun challenge! I love all the great food layouts posted so far!

Oooooh! Such wonderful layouts! It's making me hungry! This challenge proves there's nothing like Disney food.

My layout is from Chef Mickey's. The left side is for the food (for the challenge) and the right side has the character pics. Thanks for hosting this wonderful challenge! Two more pages done! Yeah!!

It's actually a paper cup. Not only do I take pictures of food and people eating food, I like to bring home pics of disposible dinnerware, too. :rotfl:

Melissa: We have not tried Pinnochio's but it looks great. I love the blanket stitch around your paper and the colors worked perfectly.

Susan: I love the chocolate spilled on the page! Chef Mickey's is my mom's favorite so I have us booked in there for the Christmas holidays. I can't wait! I think its funny how you have the desserts front and center, but have the fruit and entrees to the back:laughing:
