Dis Dieters, week beginning 24th March 08

That's very impressive, Jeanette given that you can't be very mobile! :goodvibes I gained weight in the first place because I damaged the ligaments in both hips a few years ago and being off my feet for several months meant I piled on the pounds - so I'm very impressed... :worship: :worship: :worship:

Your right i'm not mobile only can go room to room! instead of having 3 big meals i divide mine up into snacks. I found at one point that i was eating an evening meal because I'd made the dinner for everyone, and i ate mine even though i wasnt that hungry, so i just now eat when i feel hungry and not by the time it says on the clock! and at the moment it seems to be working :wizard:

Sounds good! :thumbsup2 I've been reading a lot lately about snacking rather than eating 3 regular meals a day. I've just printed off a couple of diet plans based on this idea - one where you eat 4x per day and another where you eat 6x per day. The idea is to keep your body (and metabolism) guessing which I know from past experience works best for me... When I get back from hols, I'm definitely going to try that regime. Not today tho' - I've just had a chicken salad sandwich for me lunch... ;)

Not so much the Easter eggs, but lots of lunch/dinners out over Easter. Know i've over induldge so can't bear to get weighed, it will depress me. Good luck to everyone for this week & well done to those of you who have not sucumbed to Easter treats & those of uou who have, hope you enjoyed it & good luck this week.

Awww Sharon, I know how you feel! :hug: :hug: :hug: I felt all negative a couple of weeks ago (I'd eaten loads and my clothes seemed even tighter than usual) and wasn't going to weigh-in but after a little gentle persuasion from Jeanette (Netty) I braved the scales and TBH it wasn't as bad as I expected...

See how you feel at the end of the week and maybe try and face the scales then - sometimes however depressing it seems, it's better to confront the issue... Sending you plenty of pixiedust: and fingers crossed you have a good week...
 
Not a good week for me, put on 2lbs!! I knew that the combination of a birthday and easter was not going to be a good one!!

Oh well back on the diet now and hope to shift atleast 3lbs this week to make up for it!

Bad, Bad, Bad week - my body managed to put on a massive 6lbs!! I broke my diet in every way possible for a week and I now look like an Easter Egg!

Eeek, I am now firmly back on my diet today as I;m running out of time. Good luck this week everyone.

:hug: I know how you feel, I had a wonderful Italian meal on Friday, a huge full English breakfast on Saturday, a turkey dinner on Sunday and a Chinese for lunch on Monday, but I'll be facing those dreaded scales on Friday :scared1: :wizard: Good Luck with your next weigh-in

Didn't weigh in this week. Well done to all those who were brave enough to get weighed. Need to get back on track though before i put on all that i lost. Only got to goal last week.

That is so true! I honestly thought it would be quite straightforward - especially as I'd taken a while to lose the pounds - but the minute I took my eye off the ball (sorry about that, there's footie on TV) I gained weight... Oh well, I've learnt my lesson... ;)

My problem is that I am either dieting or pigging out - I don't have any middle ground, let's hope I learn something here :thumbsup2
