First I have to say that all of our contestants did a wonderful job with their entries! I can assure you it was not an easy task for the judges to choose the winners.
I will be posting all of the entries for everyone to see.

We had a tie for third place, so both of those entries will each win a third place prize package!
All entries that did not place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will receive a Fantasyland Quest pin for entering.
I would also like to thank our very kind and generous DIS'ers who make this all possible by donating to the DIS Contest Prize Vault. Without them, none of this would be possible!

Frontierland: Splash Mountain
2. Tell us why you think this location would be the perfect area for a new NPC.
Frontierland needs an NPC and Splash Mountain is my favorite ride - it always puts a smile on my face!!!!
3. Include a picture and written description of your new Character. Pictures can be photos, clipart, original drawings, etc
The first time a player finds Brer Rabbit - who pops up in different locations around Splash Mountain (above shown on the ride and behind the house) - they will receive 40 credits and a Brer Rabbit Pin - shown in the message box above.
4. Tell us why you chose this Character.
Brer Rabbit always makes me smile - my favorite saying is "Its the truth its Factual everything is satisfactual!" I think it is a character with widespread appeal and everyone would enjoy him!
5. Write at least two phrases that your new Character would say.
"Everybody has a laughing place! Design the best room and win an exclusive Club33 Party!"
"Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

I chose the Prospector Pete character to apeal to A few of VMK's older crowd. With all the kids running around even VMK needs a crotchety old person just like you find at the parks.
Frontierland Injun Joe's Cave would be perfect for him because not only does it look like a mine, but with exception of getting to Tom Sawyer's Island for a quest, Noone ever goes there "just for fun"
In addition to to the phrases above he would also say some of the double meaning humour that Disney is so good at writing. There is no other character that this fits with right now.

I chose the Banquet Hall in Fantasyland as the perfect location for a new NPC.
Why is this the ideal place? Because it's way too quiet there, and somebody needs to wake the place up! (Yuk yuk.) But seriously, why have a beautiful castle in VMK that nobody ever goes inside? All we ever see is the dungeon and the rooftop; what a waste!
And who would be the perfect NPC for this location? Not that little upstart pixie from Peter Pan, I can tell you that! How she ever landed the job of "Official Castle Fairy" at the parks is beyond me.
Oh no, the rightful NPC for the Castle Banquet Hall can be no other than.....Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty! Not only is she from the correct movie for the job (cough cough) but she is a natural choice to watch over the slumbering lords and ladies. (After all, it was her wand that put them to sleep in the first place.) She may be small, but she can be pretty fiesty when she wants to be. In her off hours, she can go harrass the dragon in the dungeon, just to keep her on her toes.
Merryweather would make sure that all visitors straighten up and act smart at her tables, and she wouldn't put up with any nonsense. Her greetings would be something along these lines:
"Player's Name! I knew I'd find you here. What do you think you're doing? Time to get off your duff and wash the dishes!
"You think you're such a princess? Maybe you need to pitch in with the meals here for a change!"
"Credits? You want credits? Show me your finished homework first, young man!"
All in all, Merryweather would keep the Banquet Hall, and everyone in VMK, hopping.

Frontierland: Golden Horseshoe Mercantile
2. Tell us why you think this location would be the perfect area for a new NPC.
There are no NPCs in Frontierland and this shop could use some more traffic and maybe some merchandise specials.
3. Include a picture and written description of your new Character. Pictures can be photos, clipart, original drawings, etc
4. Tell us why you chose this Character.
I love the Country Bear Jamboree and Melvin always makes me and my girls laugh!
5. Write at least two phrases that your new Character would say.
"Take your time and look around at the specials! Yea, I ain't going anywhere anyhow."
"Read the VMK home page if you aren't sure what is going on! I get hung up sometimes, too!"
"Yeah, if you can't say something nice...err..Always respect VMK values!"

The disprizepixie will be in her room Friday night, March 30th from 8:00 - 8:30 PM (EST) and on Saturday from 4:00 to 4:30 PM (EST) for the other contestants to pick up their pin. If anyone is unable to be there at those times, we will work out another time to meet.
