DIS Dads in December - Let the Party Bus Roll!

Rope drop is not a problem, Dec 5th I'll just be getting there, so it will probably be around noon that we will be getting to Epcot. We have to come up with a really cool spot to take pic in Epcot (example with the bellydancer, or with Mary Poppins or something)

Here's my "schedule" as it is once more - I'm only there for 2 1/2 days. Monday is the "busiest", and Tuesday evening has Candlelight at Epcot... otherwise, I'm very flexible and hop around a bunch, which is something I enjoy doing when I'm flying solo as I will be.

12/5 - arrive around 1pm. Check in to AKV. Pretty open with NOTHING planned. I might head to the Studios later in the evening since I'd like to see the Osborne lights. But again, I have nothing planned.

12/6 - over to WL for breakfast at WCC and a meet with some other DIS friends. Followed by time in the MK. Back over to the WL at 1 pm for another DIS meet with other DIS friends. Then back over to the MK for the duration of the day/evening.

12/7 - open throughout the day - until my Candlelight Processional dinner at Epcot - Nine Dragons at 4ish, followed by the 630 or 6:45 show (can't remember which right now).

12/8 - I leave in the morning to fly home.

I've given my cell # to Dave - anyone else want it just PM me.

ill be in the mk on the 6th from 8 to about 1 or so, dd and i are doing the keys to the kingdom tour again. anyone sees a tour group walkin around, i may be in it. (cant miss the hair cut and the tattoo.) stopher, ill text you the 6th maybe we can meet when the tours over if not, ill text you on the 7th.ill be at epcot in the am and we have the christmas party at night in the mk but i will meet up with you somewere that day!

If you do go to HS on the 5th, I'll also be there to see Osborne lights, plus it is a EMH till 11pm

Otherwise on the 6th a bunch of Dads will be in MK, so I'll probably see you there

It is a cute book. Mickey takes him through the MK on all kids of rides. They didn't stop for a Dole Whip though?

I think there is also one (not sure on this but it makes sense) Mickey was going to travel the World and his Mom gave him a bear (Duffy) and they had adventures in different counties. ( Don't know for sure on this, but it makes sense with the World showcase link)

On Dec 6 late afternoon the largest amount of Dis Dads EVER in the history of the Dis Dads will be in one place (MK) we need to put together some kind of plan

I'm not sure if the Barnstormer is still up and running, if it is this might be a good time to hit it as a group

Since it will be nighttime a Dis Dad group Christmas pic in front of the Castle or another highly decorated spot

On Dec 6 late afternoon the largest amount of Dis Dads EVER in the history of the Dis Dads will be in one place (MK) we need to put together some kind of plan

I'm not sure if the Barnstormer is still up and running, if it is this might be a good time to hit it as a group

This is a great idea. I'm thinking that we should take a group pic in the hub in front of the castle before the fireworks.

I am also going post a pic of us so if any of you see us walking around during the day you can stop us and say hi!

That is him. Duffy the Disney bear. According to the backstory, Minnie gave it to Mickey so he wouldn't be lonely while he traveled. VERY popular in Japan. This is their 2nd attempt to roll him out here domestically on both coasts. So far there's been more interest at Epcot & WDW than at DL.

Getting a group shot is a very good idea. I'd say two versions - one with just the dads, and then another with the families included (at least those families who are there...). I would recommend off to the side of the Castle at the little Rose Garden instead of the straight-on view. Plus they often have a photopass person there, so if anyone is doing PP and purchases the CD, that image could then be shared with anyone else is not doing PP - in addition to all of the "regular" cameras that will be there.

Maybe you can photo-shop me in. It's official- we won't be hitting the MK on 12/6 and will therefore miss the greatest, most fantabulous Disdads meet ever. The kids like Maleficent and Fantasmic is their only chance to see her so we'll be at HS that day. But if memory serves, you will be at the boardwalk sometime during your trip. Whenever that is, let me know and I can come down and buy you that drink I owe you (I'm staying at BWV). If I can figure out how, I'll add my cell number to the google calendar.

Sounds good. Even if I've left the park for our mid-day siesta, it'll be easy for me to swing back in to Epcot from the boardwalk.

We haven't heard from some of the Dads that are going, Once everyone posts what park/what day,when. I'm sure alot more meetings and events will be taking place.

On the 5th in Epcot so far it is You, Dave & myself, I'm sure we might gain a few more

It is looking like , nomatter where any Dad is at what time, another Dad is in the same park

12/4 Boma Breakfast 9:15 am, Fly home 7:05 pm.

We might do the Wishes Dessert Party on the 1st, just haven’t decided yet.
