Did you get added to a wait list?

No because I need 3 rooms.I would have settled for two rooms and just left my mothers-in -law back at SSR.But that would leave me with still needing two rooms.So trying to get them together was just hopeful, I never really thought it would happen so I am not to disappointed.I am under the understanding that you cant waitlist for two reservations at a time so that even increase the odds against it happening.

Do they have the character meets going on while the parade is running? Seems like that would be a good time to get them out of the way and hit some rides while everyone else is watching the first parade.

yes they do. if you look at the link on the dis to the party it will give you a map were everything is. snow white and all seven dwarfs were back by pooh ride in 2007.

They must change parade a little then because my profile pic is of the parade in 2008 and snow white and all 7 dwarfs were in it.So I wonder if they change what characters are in the parade from year to year.

I think it is the same place they were at for the Halloween Party, I wonder if that will change now that the entire area is nothing but construction barriers.

Well, I called yesterday to switch our reservation to Kidani village, and they told me that all 2 bedroom - savanna and standard view - are all booked. Same with Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge.
I was added to a wait list for AKV, but it looks like we'll be staying at the Tree Houses. Which isn't bad at all - I've been excited to see these things since they went up. It will just involved a little more planning, as we may have to take 2 buses to get anywhere. (One from the Tree Houses back to Saratoga Springs, and another from there to a park, etc.)

Looking at what we want to do and the dates we have available, we're shooting for doing the Christmas Party on the 9th. We check out on the 10th, and have nothing planned for that day, so keeping the kids up until past midnight won't be a problem.

My car will be in the parking lot of SSR I really don't use it down there so just pop on over get the keys and enjoy just bring it back fueled up and ready for me to go

I haven't posted for awhile. Just letting you know DW has changed plans again, we are now going at the end of July. I'll try and work on her for a short December trip, but the plate is kinda full. Ya'll have a good trip and enjoy, I will.

Well, that's awesome that you got your trip moved up, but a bummer that you'll miss December. I'll take you off the roster, but keep us posted on your July trip!

We've got a few standards if we go with the dining plan but that is really up in the air right now. Our trip in June will be the first time we will not be on the dining plan. My plan is to see exactly how cheap we can do the parks and still have a good time, I really want to try this since I'm getting tired of friends telling us they'd love to go but it is just too expensive to eat there.

Right now I am trying to figure out in December if we will do the dining plan, Tables in Wonderland or just wing it. Hopefully the massive house clearing garage sale next weekend will make the decision a bit easier. We'll probably start planning the ADRs and then just cancel some of them if we aren't on the plan.

well after all the bad news this past week we got our conf. in the mail for okw in december!!! that made dw smile. i make my adrs on june 4th, thats my 180+10 date. we (i) have our meals figures out already.

If I recall correctly, we're going to try to do Whispering Canyon for Lunch on Sunday the 5th, then Chef Mickey for dinner that night.
Monday the 6th - Cindy's for Lunch
Tuesday the 7th - Epcot during the day, Ohana's for dinner
Wednesday the 8th - DHS. No TS meals planned as of now
Thursday the 9th - Animal Kingdom & Christmas Party at night. No TS Meals planned
Friday the 10th - Dinner at Boma

I' m up in the air with one of my places for ADR - Garden Grove At The Swan - Southern BBQ, I don't know anyone who's been there so this one could change.

The rest of them are in no order (haven't planned what day where yet, but have park hoppers so it's no big deal)

-Chef Mickey
-Boatwright Dining Hall

I'm looking forward to Le Cealler & Boatwright Dining Hall (never been there but the menu looks really good)

Also will be hitting T-Rex cafe, son loves it there.

If they offer the Free Dining Plan when we go, I'm going to upgrade to a moderate most likely Port Oreleans, that will give you the SD & QS, instead of just the QS they offer for the value resort, plus I'd still be about $100 ahead of the game

i just happen to notice that on the wdw site, they have the park hours up for december from the 1st till the 9th!!!
