Dis - Con questions......

Hello, hope someone out there can help me. I am thinking about coming over for a couple of days for DIS-CON and was wondering what events (official) that I could come too w/out paying for the entire convention. Such as - I would like to go to the welcome reception - would there be a fee for that? What other events could I attend?

I know I have to look at Ray Sharptons signature for mini meets - will do that soon.

Hi Christine,

Unfortunately, we've been told that it's all or nothing as far as "official" goes. It would just be a nightmare to figure out the logistics of people paying for individual events.

But, there will be TONS of mini-meets going on! I look forward to meeting you!

Hmmm maybe Pete could have those coming for just the welcome reception pay something at the door?? I would really like to come to this - probably where I can meet the most DIS'ers! (just an idea)

Hi Christine,
I really wish we could do that, but we will still be taking registration and that is not possible. There is possibly a mini-meet at Jelly Rolls after, perhaps we could all meet up with you there?

I dont know. Maybe I will just save my vacation days and just come over Friday then. Or else I need to find a few more jobs to be able to afford to be official.

They are working on a 'weekend warrior' rate right now for those whole can only make part of the events. Obviously that would not include the opening reception, but would catch (I think) the cherished Illuminations Desert Party.

Look for details, I'm assuming they are coming out with info soon about this.
