DIS Chat and AOL users

AOL has never liked DIS chat and now that we have a new chat room they really, <b>really</b> don't like DIS chat. So if you use AOL you will have problems in the chat room and get error screens. Do not despair! There is a way around this little problem.

First log onto AOL. Once your session has been established, go to the little dash in the upper right corner of the screen and minimize the AOL screen.

Now, go to the start button and click on that.

Choose "programs"

Scroll down until you find Internet Explorer and open that.

Use Internet Explorer to enter the chat room. You might want to add the chat room to your favorites on Internet Explorer just to make it easier to find chat

Netscape will work too

Thanks for that Kath! I haven't been able to stay in Chat since changing over to AOL, so I will give it a try this Sunday and see if it works for me!

Thanks KATHY!! How nice of you to post such helpful info. As an AOL user, it must be the reason I experienced SO many problems the last time I tried to chat on the DIS. I was left wandering rooms and slamming doors (very frustrating...and only amusing for about a minute!). I'll give these instructions a go...and let you know how it fares.
