DIS Buddies

Hi Fellow Universal fans!

Hope this doesn't come across as sad (LOL) but I am new to DIS and have noticed that people seem to have good friendships and I haven't really at all- to be fair, I've only been on Disney boards at this point, but my favourite parks in Florida are the Universal Parks so would love nothing more than to make some DIS friends with fellow fans (or potential fans) of the Universal parks.

I just like talking about Florida parks to be honest, I don't care whether it's about rides, the food there, the music played in Marvel Island, cool items to buy, Package Pick Up... anything! I just like talking about the place in general, as it makes me really excited about going!

So, any takers? I was hoping we could build up a good, busy forum with lots of subscribers to generate a bit of buzz about Universal, and to keep each other company

Welcome Kittengal! I feel the same way as you do! Although we don't have any plans to get to the Orlando area until maybe HHN 2014, I love to just read what everyone has to say to get my UO/Disney fix.

Everyone on the UO site is friendly, and you don't see much sniping at one another, just good friendly conversations. Hope you enjoy it here!

reckon most where like yourself, i know i was. But they are a very friendly welcoming group of people, and i have made lots of friends on here, and some i have met over the years when we visit.

I'm up for meeting any fellow DISers. I have meet a few and going to meet more this year. It's nice to meet up and share everyone's passion for the parks. It's nice to put faces with screen names too.

The last time we met someone was Coach and his family. It was just by accident as he was staying at HRH and of course we stay at RPR. But we were inline for EE into IOA one morning and right in front if us was him and his family. I recognized them from photos on the board. So I asked and we met. We ended up bumping back into them at FJ as my DW and Coach waited outside while taking photos while the rest rode the ride. We then split ways and ended up at HRH for lunch poolside while they were swimming too.

We have missed many people by a few days only but that is the way it goes.

I saw your post total and wanted to say "welcome!". Then I saw your join date and see why you called yourself a lurker. No biggie, though.

I often feel like I'm snooping around since we only get to Florida once every four years and so many on the DIS seem like they go weekly.

Never met anyone face-to-face even though I wore a LGMH for two weeks straight in WDW once.

This is a fun place to hang out with 'family' and discuss things we like.

usually have 3 different conversations going on at once.

the last lengthy conversation was about horses and riding them.
i stayed mum.
anything larger than a cat, i know little about.
