Hi Ladies

I suppose everyone is sleeping, well Lisa is probably not because of the time difference from the west coast.

I just rested today, so far so good, not too much pain I did what dh told me to do, just about absolutely nothing.

Laurie - hope you are feeling better and the family too

Maureen - Congratulations! You must be so proud of yourself. All your hard work has paid off. Way to go!!

Elizabeth and Sha - Hoping you dont have too much rain

Well I just found out that the narrarator for our cp package was changed from Vanessa Williams to Kirk Cameron. I know he is kind of religious but really dont follow him I remember him from the old show when he was Mike Seever. Wow, that dates me!! I guess he will be better then having Abigail Breslin. Glad they didnt put her in there to cover it. She is on the next sev. days.

Dh is taking his laptop so maybe I can give some live updates. I dont know how to post pictures and I really want a new camera to take. Yeah, like that will happen. I cant even figure out my cell phone yet.

Maryann, I hope the B12 shot gives you an extra shot of energy. I agree with your DH, try and rest now and build up your reserves. Glad the pain level is more manageable right now.

I have to ssay I have not done the CP. Please enjoy every minutes and tell us all about it. Live updates would be the best!!!

Maureen, what a wonderful accomplishment, especially against all the odds.

Between BC, losing your dear mother, and your dad's illness, to press on as you have with all the challenges and earn your masters, all I can say is you are my hero.

I could never have accomplished what you have.

I know that your dear DH and wonderful family, including your mom before she passed and dad helped you through it all.

How wonderful for you whole family to celebrate with a cruise. I feel so fortunate to have met most of your family last Janurary.

We need a reunion one day. DD14 is more and more interested in boys, your handome younger son would be just the ticket!

I am down here freezing. Definitely a file in the fireplace night. Snow two years in a row in south Louisiana? this is just wrong. We were just in my sister's heated spa on Sunday afternoon.

Soccer this weekend is going to be interesting.

The cooler weather will make the WDW trips more festive. Hot and humid does not equal Christmas.

I just hope the rain stays far, far away.

OMG!!! I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I am at Disneyland and I got to go into MK at WDW and then into DL in the SAME DAY!!!!! I was SOOOOO tired but the spirit of Jen was definitely there! As I came into the town square after coming under the main gate... the fireworks started!

Have to shower and get over there!

Hey Guys, sorry I haven't been around. It's just been so busy since I got back from DL. I finally heard back on my MRI's. Now comes the fighting... My surgeon, whom I trust the most, declares there is no tumor in the pit gland and any surgery would merely be exploratory, he is recommending that the adrenals go bye-bye. My endo is siding with a guy at Swedish hospital in Seattle who doesn't have all the facts. So, they're going to duke it out and we'll see what we end up with... maybe I'll have an answer by Christmas... I'll try to write more later about my adventures at DL. Hugs to all!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been on here much lately. I had a bad week last week and didn't start feeling better until Tuesday.

I was really thrown for a loop when I had to get my Herceptin on the day before Thanksgiving instead of on Friday as I usually do. Since I had just had the full chemo the Friday before, I just wasn't that strong on Wednesday and it really took a lot out of me.

Thanksgiving went better than I had expected. I didn't go to my friend's house until right before we ate and managed to stay there for about four hours. I paid for it over the weekend, though, as I was very tired and just didn't feel well.

I am feeling pretty good today after the Herceptin. I'm a little concerned because my RBC and HGB are both lower than the accepted range. I don't think there's anything I can do about it, though.

I'm so happy that some of you are able to enjoy WDW and DL while they're decorated for Christmas. I am really missing that because we have been to WDW every December for the past 14 years. Someone post some pics!

Laurie - wow snow down by you! They are predicting some rain to snow here but just a coating they say.

Fl Lisa - sorry you are having a rough time with the treatments. But I think how blessed we are just to be there with each other on thanksgiving etc. Hope this week is much better for you.

Candy - Hope you are all right sister, Miss your posts. o.k. should I give you a shout out??

Well Dh took me for the blood test at 8 am before he went to work. Gheesh, I wish I had some wheels of my own again. Thiis is getting bad. He said of course people were saying stuff that I went in before them..hmm...lets see, it's called an appt. Go on line and make one., but I see its usually all the older folks and I guess they just dont do that. Oh well. Then I just survived ds19 taking me to the pcp for the B12 shot.So the nurse who I cant stand and people have written bad things on the internet about her takes me. She says oh did you have leg surgery, I said no stomach. Then I ask her for the mamo paper, she says its not done yet, yeah right, they didnt even do it. I sit and wait and she gets it asap. So that is next on my to do list. I am so glad I dont go here too often.

Laurie, you are such a sweet heart! Thanks for all your kind words! I DEFINATELY want to to meet again at WDW. Your daughter is so beautiful and Ray is girl crazy! What a great idea....

I heard it was snowing in LA and thought of you. I have to say that I am a little jealous of the snow...south Florida weather is SO BORING!

Fl Lisa, I am sorry you are feeling poorly. Active treatment is had on the body and the spirit, especially during the holidays.

Fourteen years straight at Disney? I guess there are many benefits of living close to the mouse.

Honugirl, can't wait to hear more about your DL trip. I hope you know more before Christmas about the surgery.

Maryann, when are you and your DH leaving? I have used photobucket to upload pictures. I am not very expert at it, I have to play with it some as I forget how to do it in between trips.

We saw snowflakes for a few hours, but not enough to stick. Everything was so wet from the all day rain, I think the rain "melted" the snow. Yep we are in south Louisiana for sure. Today is cut the grass and mulch the leaves again.

We got a tree yesterday, a short one, and some nice cedar garland for the fireplace. I have a plan. We took everything off the island in our kitchen, and removed the pan hanging thing above it. We had room for a 5 footer since we have 10 foot ceilings in here. I don't think Naj will be able to canibalize the tree this year unless she uses a step stool.

The tree is a nice one, a noble fir. DH needs to get the lights down from ye ole attic and get started with the decorating part.

The only problem with taking down the pot hanging rack, is where in heck will I hang all my candycane colored artificial icycles (don't ask).

Guess we will skip that part of the festiviites this year. Heck and double heck.

I am in the calm before the storm, before the college kids return after finals and before DD14's finals. We are simplifying gift giving this year with extended family in a major way, thank goodness. Best idea ever. DH bought himself a IPOD touch last week so he is taken care of. I can order DD19's stuff online, she will tell me what to buy.

I just want another WDW trip. Our renewed AP's last till December 31, 2010. Wonder how many trips I ca fit in during that period? I am glued to Waldorf Astoria right now. The current Travel zoo special they are running is pitiful compared to the one I got in early October for our November trip. Reservations must be improving over yonder.

My nutty sister finally got her pool cover and is plotting about firing up the heater again when our weather improves. The therapeutic value of exercising in the warm water is wonderful for her. Her neighbors might think she has lost it though. Good thing they have a privacy fence. She even bought the top of a wetsuit to use during cooler days.

Pictures do not do it justice! It was heavenly. I really liked having the small spotlights attached to the headboard. There was a nice Bose ipod docking station too. I also liked having the table at the foot of the bed so that the bed could be turned down easily

DD14 sprained her ankle at soccer tonight and we are icing it. This is going to be an interesting week. I need to get my blood work done before my endocrinologist visit next week, DD14 also has to go in to get her orthodontia retainer fitted tomorrow morning, I have an orthopedic appointment Tuesday to see what is up with my right shoulder, I need to to schedule a visit with the opthamologist this week to get a new glasses prescription, and I need to get a haircut, bad.

My mom needs advice on buying new mattresses and I still have the crud.

It sounds like you had a very nice time and it always so refreshing to get away just for a few days.

Has anyone heard from Merry recently? We have tentative plans to meet in January or the end of Dec. at WDW and I have not heard from her. I only hope everything is going well for her.

I have not heard from Merry in quite a while.

Have you tried doing a pm? I sure hope you get to meet up. Since the thread is going on 5 years, we have become pretty darn attached to each other. Putting a face to all the things we have shared is a wondrous thing.
I may possibly have her phone number buried somewhere. I will look.
