Still sending prayers. We have a clinic at my hospital for lymphedema physical therapy. My doc sent me there since I had so many lymph nodes taken out. They fitted me with a sleeve (not custom, off the shelf) and helped me with exercises to help with swelling, as well as nutrition and other info on keeping lymphedema down. I hope your doc was able to help with some of this and that you have some sort of resources to help you. I'm happy to talk anytime.

I'm glad DS's team won. Make that appt. soon! My eyesight has been worse since my surgery and chemo started. I wonder if it is coincidence or something to do with all the drugs? I am due for my annual soon so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Chemo of a/c #3 was last Thursday. I asked to take home the nuerlasta (sp?) shot since we were expecting snow the next day. They did let me but charged me $50. Turns out to have been a good decision as we got 6 inches of snow that night and the chemo center ended up being closed on Friday. A local friend/nurse came over to give me the shot and brought me warm muffins. Now that is service! I stayed in bed over the weekend, went in to work 1/2 of Monday and most of yesterday, then we had more ice this morning so I've been working from home and resting.

GAGWTA!

smiley - Thanks for checking in with us. You're still in our prayers.

MaryAnn - Sorry you're having eye issues. I finally went to the eye doctor last June when I was done with the chemo and radiation. My prescription actually improved!

Cheryl - Good luck with the colonoscopy on Friday.

Laurie - I like how you get away from the stress - massage and WDW trip planning - great idea!

Went to the oncologist for my CBCs today. I was very happy that everything is normal with only two flags so I can have chemo #3 on Friday. I have to have a a different drug since I had a reaction to the Carboplatin last time. I was more worried about the Taxol because of the problems I had with Taxotere during the last course of chemo. I'm hoping for the best.

Home computer has been on the blink so to speak.

Lisa, good luck with chemo #3.

Smilie, I continue with praying for you.

Marci, are you recovered from your chemo#3?

Cheryl, good luck with the colonoscopy today. I hope all will be clear. Please keep us updated.

Had a great thai yoga/deep tissue massage on Wednesday. Good thing because I am still dealing with my hap hazard IT guy. He was supposed to show his smiling face on Wednesday around the time I had my massage appointment. He did not show, and I was feeling guilty while I was trying to relax and enjoy my massage. He strolls on in to my office Thursday while I was sitting in the pediatrician exam room with DD15. Naturally, no progress was made without me, although they called when I had my cell on silent, and he left before I rushed back to the office to catch a plane somewhere.

Talk about a weak link.

I was very frustrated yesterday after realizing no help was coming from this dude. I am going back to deal with the software directly reseller on Monday. I don't need no stinking IT guy. And I certainly don't plan on relying on HIS backups anymore. I have my own big honking external disk drive.

Not sure if all of this is included in my job description as a part time accountant. I think I will looking around for another gig soon. I wonder if they need accountants with a real life minor in IT issues in Orlando?

Sorry, needed to vent. DH left early for work today-I think he had enough of my griping. I don't want to drive everyone away, but I think I reached my limit when my boss told me last week that I needed to "mourn" my accounting application that went poof! Mourn, really????? Then a day or two later she is asking me about financials for December/January??? Excuse me, I am still reconstructing data from September forward? Remember I told you that this would take months?

A magician or wizard I am not. Calling Harry Potter. . .

Good morning ladies

Cheryl - Thinking of you and your testing today. I hope all goes well and that you will get some definitive answers:hug:

smilie - continued prayers for Gods peace and comfort for you.

Lisa - hoping your chemo goes well today.

marci - hope you are feeling well

Melissa - I am hearing about all your bad weather there. Wow!!

Laurie - Hmm, I think its time to pack it up there too. It seems like they dont appreciate everything you are going through and are not providing you with the proper support or resources. I like your spunky attitude though. We need to send you lots of :wizard: and you probably need some :drinking1 adult beverage right about now too! (I entered another contest to win a stay at bonnet creek!) and thought of you!

Things are quiet here. I am sad dh is leaving mon. We will try to have some sort of pre b day celebration for him whoever is around. He also tells me that now he is going back to calif. and seattle in a few eeks. I am getting weary of this for sure. I think I will plan the wdw trip before he goes. Ds23 new job benefits are pretty good. So he should thank God for sure for that job in this economy.

GTAGWTA. Have a great week end everyone

This is my first time posting on this thread (hope you don't mind). I'm waiting for results from my breast biopsy (should get the results next Wednesday) and just need some reassurances.

Due to a family history of breast cancer, I started mammograms at 25 and MRIs at 30. I've had one previous biopsy and was just a benign lesion (had a lumpectomy and forgot about it).

After my latest MRIs, I had a call back (the call back being a mammogram and ultrasound). They found nothing on the call back, but still wanted an MRI guided biopsy. Either the MRI was wrong (my hope) or the ultrasound just wasn't seeing it.

Well, MRI wasn't wrong. They found something to biopsy. It has blood flow (it takes up the contrast) which has me worried. And, when I looked at my paper work, it was listed as an "URGENT BIOPSY" (not something I've shared with my family). I know that it is still likely to be nothing, but now I wait for the results. I'm in Canada - so it takes forever (well, a week).

I HATE having to tell my family that there was something to biopsy. They went through so much with my mum and (to a lesser extent for my dad and brother) my grandmother that I hate putting them through this. On the other hand, last time I only told my brother after I got the results of the biopsy (benign), and he got rather mad at me, so now I tell.

This coming a week after surgery (laparoscopic myomectomy), is not making me happy. I also now have three bras with blood stains - I'm just not clotting this time (it is now just tiny pin prints of blood). I've extended the time with a sports bra and keeping it dry (luckily, I'm still off of work due to the surgery).

Hi crash, glad you posted. It's why we're here. :grouphug:

I am currently going through this with a friend as well. She's got other things going on, too (isn't that always the way?) and I wasn't expecting the call that this was happening to her in addition to all the other things she's dealing with. Geez.

Anyway, it's good they're being so careful, as you know. Do you have yearly MRIs? Did they find this on MRI or did you find a lump? MRIs are great but they do have a high rate of false positive, which they then are obligated to investigate. If it does turn out to be something, it sounds like they caught it very early (the whole purpose of MRIs, as they reassure me every year as I'm practically shaking going into the machine :guilty: ) and that's always reassuring.

We'll be here with you while you wait. I am a "teller", I am not very good at keeping things to myself when something's bothering me (which is both a blessing and a curse, which you'd probably appreciate more if you knew me IRL :rotfl2:My friends, family and coworkers could tell you good stories I'm sure, lol). Think of how you would feel if it was your family member - would you want to know? Give them a chance to support you now.

Thanks Pea-n-Me.

I do have yearly MRIs and yearly mammograms (set about 6 months apart). The spot was found on a screening MRI. I cannot feel anything (and it wasn't picked up on the mammogram I had as follow-up).

However, the biopsy was MRI guided and the second MRI picked up the same spot. Two false-positives in the exact same spot, seems fairly unlikely (I was actually hoping that the second MRI wouldn't find anything and that they'd just cancel the biopsy). Obviously, it doesn't mean it is malignant, but there is a solid "something" that has vascularized.

Thanks for the advice about the family as well. I KNOW you are right, but it is still hard.

I agree the vascularization is concerning. You hang in there, and let us know how you're doing.

Good morning ladies...

Smilie continued hugs and prayers.

I lost a patient the other day... well, he had gone to Hospice the week before after a stay in rehab. Saw him 2 hours before he passed and then a couple after. Not sure if there is a service today or not. I need to find out. I can call the facility to see what they know on my way to walk. He and his wife grew up together, which I learned after he passed. She was 8 and he was 14. They were married for 63 years.

Thinking about you all! Will say hi to Mickey as I am planning my first quick trip (for the year) to WDW tomorrow. Stay warm everyone! Know you are loved and thought of constantly!

Crash, glad you found us. As Linda said that is why we are here. This will have to be short as DH is working on our computer and I am posting from my iPhone.

I know little a about MRI guided biopsies but I do know that overall 80per cent of biopsies have benign results. Hoping you are in that 80 per cent group.

Hi all...just a quick drive-by to say that the colonoscopy went fine (as fine as it can anyway!) He took several biopsies, hopefully will get all the results at my appt. on Tuesday.

Thinking of you all...GAGWTA!!!! :goodvibes

Crash, you are added to my prayers. GAGWTA. Dang I wish I could make long posts.

Turns out DH has to help out 10 days after each surgery. Home Sun thru Mon nite. Then away 10.

Friend lost triplets a year ago, had 2 Fri. balances :sad1:Happy 4 them.

Tomorrow (today) I turn 50! :cake: Funny after BC birthdays are thrilling to me.

Happy 50th,party::bday: Merry! Now that is something to celebrate!

Glad you rejoined us, despite your continued posting problems.

I was so worried that we had lost touch with you. The email address from back in 2007 when we rented points from you also would not work so I was sure we had lost touch. Pm me your current email sometime, now that I am thinking about it.

Glad your friend was able to have those two precious babies. I did not understand your post about your husband and his being away during the surgeries.

Weather is nice here, still chilly but nice walking weather. I am going walkin again today. It appears we might get up around 70 degrees later this week. A virtual heat wave!

One good thing I found about posting from my iphone was that it wanted to correct my misspellings. I have so many of those. Still, it seemed tedious compared to posting via the full keyboard.

I guess I am a dinosaur through and through.

MIL having cataract surgeries. DH has to stay with her 10 days after each to care for FIL.
