Good evening ladies

Hope you all had a great week end

We had ds 19 do the grilling and we were serenaded by the lovely cultural music and fireworks of our new neighbors next door. Heah, I aint complaining too much. Every year I would stay in the house praying that the house would not catch on fire from the mortar shells our drugger neighbor would set off along with the 6 foot bonfires etc. So these people are so much better. We have central air and I always keep the windows shut because of ds asthma, but I do think the windows were almost shaking frm the music this time too.
I am glad you had a nicer time this year

Well I went to the pcp today for the clearance. Hmm, my blood pressure was high when I went in. Um yeah, I just busted my butt walking into your office with a throbbing neck pain, draining wound, tired from grocery shopping, being a little mad at my ds when I saw them on the road on the way here etc. He checked it again later and it was normal. hmm, the dr, sat down and then said, excuse me and walked out of the room with the chart that he declared was not mine!! O.K. I am having visions of Scar telling Simba to run away and never come back. Then I think..hmm.. this would make a great David Letterman top ten reason of when is it time to get a new primary care doctor. #3, when they walk in the room with the wrong chart (thinking to yourself) you didnt even see any other patients around) etc. He asks about my voice... o.k. I am almost laughing to myself thinking about our comments of Kathleen, Lorraine and Brenda, I tell him sometimes its a good day and sometimes a bad day and I said today is a bad day. kind of like a combo of hoarse and low etc. Oh ds got a letter from the CFO of the pool co. From their office in Maryland!!. Wow, hmm, where is the lifeguard of the month??? Just a nice thank you note, gheesh.

GTAGWTA, Blessings to you all.
I was howling at the Simba joke and David Letterman!!!!! You are so crazy! Well I am glad they made an attempt at acknowledging your son!

Yes the Garage sale is for Disney money! This is the month I have to pay it off and of course is where everything is happening. 1st car payment. Insurance is giving me HECK. I have a copay that is $300.00 for my insulin pump. And I got that feeling.....Root canal time:banana:! I already had one this year and only 1 is covered in my dental.
Honugirl, with what you have been adn are going through, you can hold your head proud.

Anyone judging you should walk a mile in your shoes. Try and not give anyone doing this another thought, That is such a closeminded attitude and they are not worthy of your attention. no way jose.
So agree with this!

Hoping all is well with everyone. Surgery is tomorrow, outpaitent, and I'm looking forward to it being over. (So I can determine what size bathing suit I'll get for Disney in 29 days!!!)
Alice I hope everything goes well with your surgery. Will be praying for you.

Yes, once I get some insurance I will go. Normally, I would go even without... but if it is something, then I would be not in a good position. And I want a good insurance. The pain though is gone... or has been since the following morning. Still pricing things. I want something good and a name I am familiar with. I am willing to pay more to have a good level of coverage too.

on another note, I ran away last night after work. I drove down to Epcot and had dinner with 2 friends. One lives in Orlando now, and the other had been down for the weekend. Was a lot of fun and am glad I went! Got to see Illuminations, which I hadnt seen in awhile. :goodvibes

I am glad you are looking for insurance and doing a thorough job. Look into everything....copays, if they have deductibles, or limits to the amount they will cover...if you are going to pay good money then you should have good insurance.

Cool that you got to spend some time with friends and at Disney. Wish I lived that close.

Hi sistas:):)

Maureen - I was thinking of you yest. because I got another b12 shot. How are yours going? Praying for your dad too.

Alice - Love your reasons to love the Poly on the resort board. Hmm...paradise will be yours shortly!!!

Candy - hmm...I hope your root canal feeling goes away. That would be one less thing to worry about for sure.

Sha - Your evening sounded great. Where did you eat? O.K. can you tell I am obsessed with Disney Food. My ds say why do you look at those food pictures??

I forgot to say that over the week end we went to the disney outlet. Unfortunately my stomach hurt alot so I didnt stay in there long, but seriously it was nice and if you had kids to buy for you could go crazy in there. They did have some adult shirts. I just had dh get a wall e beach towel for ds17. It wasnt a good wall e picture, a different one and he said the people at the pool liked it too. Tomm. I am sure I will be starting to be nervous nellie. I just hate hospitals. Would love to be any place but there. Yest. after vbs ds17 and ds19 decide to go to the beach with their friends. When they come home they tell us they went to the..um..clothing optional beach!!!:scared1::scared1: Yup, about 8 boys of various sizes, etc.etc. decide to do this. O.K. I couldnt believe I am hearing this. I didnt know wether to laugh, cry or scream. I just said, I couldnt believe you all did this etc. So there is never a dull moment at this house for sure. I know you only live once, but I sure dont think I would ever try this one, cancer or no cancer, I dont think that would be on my bucket list etc. :rotfl2:

GTAGWTA, Blesings to you all.

LMP... what Disney outlet???

What "clothing optional" beach-- Fire Island????

Are you SURE we live on the same island??? :)

And don't sweat the hospital. It's just another thing to get through between here and feeling better.

The Disney Outlet in Riverhead. (Tanger) Is this a Disney Store or an outlet? I dont know but the prices are really good. The adult t shirts were about $8.99 and I know the towel I got ds was less than $7 and the tag was like $15 etc.I didnt look at everything. Lots of toys, and lots of Buzz stuff and princess stuff and of course the stuffed animals, tons of them etc. When I feel better I am definetely going back.

yes, sista, we live on the same island!! They went to Smith Point. They said you actually have to walk about 2 miles (?) (Dont know how accurate that statement is) to the optional beach from the main beach area.

I would consider a clothing optional beach, if I didnt find parts of me scary... LOL.

When I went to Epcot we ate at Morocco's Restaurant Marrakesh. I even went off of the stick with what you know, and got Couscous M'Rouzia Fassi (Braised beef served with caramelized onions, raisins, honey, almonds and eggs). It was good.

I am really glad that I am close enough to do that, to go down. Normally, if I wont have the day to spend there, I wouldnt just drive down there... especially alone. I am stepping out of my box. I am going down for dinner again in a couple weeks.. well, dinner is added, and so is dessert... but mom and I are going for a walk through at BLT. Already own there, but want to walk through and see it. I think it would be cool.

I've always meant to go to Smiths Point. (NO, not the clothing optional part!!!!)

I lost a student on TWA flight 800, and someday I really want to see the memorial at Smths Point. The crazy thing is that it's about a mile from my sister's house--it's not like it's incredibly inconvenient. But anytime I'm there, I'm visiting my sister, not playing tourist.

Do take some pictures, Sha.

I took a few from the outside when we ate breakfast at the Mickey place in the CR back in May. It looked wierd in that it was quiet and pristine and empty.

Clothing optional, I might just do. I like my body better than before surgery.

It is amazing what a major lift and reduce and tummy job can do.

But of course one of mine is still underage. technically not even 3 years old.

Maybe I would get carded?:rotfl2:

GAGWTA everyone!

Hugs :hug::hug: to everyone getting ready for surgery. Everything will go great! :thumbsup2

Still having a lot of problems. Dealing with constant headaches. No energy. Just trying to survive the 2-3 months until I can have surgery.

The 4th was OK. I just kind of faded into the woodwork which was nice.

Hugs everyone! I wish I had more energy to write more, but I just don't. It's kind of depressing. Just want this to be over.

Hello to everyone here. My name is Beth and I was hoping to sneak in here for a minute, hope that's ok. :)

About 3 years ago, I found the "GAGWTA" thread when I was having a needle biopsy done on my left breast. Everyone posting here then was so nice, caring and informative.

Well, last week I had a mammogram done. Today, this morning, I got a phone call with the results. They want me to come back in for spot compressions and an ultrasound. The conversation I had is sort of a blur but I recall them saying they found fibroid glandular density on both breasts but especially the left one, and asymmetrical nodular area, or something like that.

I was sort of overwhelmed and honestly don't have a clue what any of that means. She then proceeded to give me the names and numbers of breast surgeons I could talk to, but I'm not sure why. I asked and she was sort of vague about it all. Saying something about they'd be the ones to determine the next course of action.

My mom had breast cancer and just hearing all this has me freaking out right now. For some reason when I hung up the phone, I remembered this thread and was hoping to find it still around. I'm sorry to just pop in like this, but if anyone has any advice at all or any information to share, I could really use some right now, either here or in a PM.

Again, sorry for the lengthy post and for just dropping in, but last time it was so nice to be able to talk to someone and I guess I was hoping maybe some of you would understand or have more info.
Thank for reading. :) Have a good day everyone!

Hey everyone. I'm sorry I've been MIA. Things have been busy. I'm playing catch up with literally thousands of pictures :scared1: as they're majorly clogging up our computer and DH is after me about it, LOL. I just finished up my work week and now have to start packing - for three trips in one, beginning this weekend. I'll have my netbook with me but am looking forward to a little R&R. The middle leg of the trip is for a baseball tournament and that will sum up the AAU season anyway; still have the summer league but that should be ending by the end of the month. (I'm going to miss all my boys!)

I wanted to respond quickly to momma. Welcome back  and sorry you have to deal with this. A breast surgeon is really the expert in all matters of the breast. So if there are any abnormalities found there, docs always (and should) defer to a breast surgeon about what to do about them.

They want me to come back in for spot compressions and an ultrasound. The conversation I had is sort of a blur but I recall them saying they found fibroid glandular density on both breasts but especially the left one, and asymmetrical nodular area, or something like that.
With an ultrasound, they can sometimes predict whether the spot is a cyst type thing, or solid. Solid lumps are usually biopsied, but remember that 80% of solid lumps are benign. The worrisome part, I suspect, is the asymmetrical shape of it. Nice, pretty round spots are usually nodes or something else benign. Some cancers do not have a nice shape, they're irregularly shaped. Not to freak you out, but that's why they'll probably want to biopsy it, as they should. As you know, a biopsy is the only real way to tell for sure what the tissue's comprised of. The good news is that we're so fortunate to have things discovered early these days. I hope it's nothing, but if it is, I'm sure it's early, which is great.

I'm glad you came by, please keep us in the loop, and feel free to hang here while you wait, we all know how hard it is. :grouphug: Scary reading, but a lot of your questions can probably be answered here (and of course we're happy to help explain things, too, if we can) - don't read more than you have to. www.breastcancer.org

Hi guys.

Quick drive by.

The surgery went well. I'm a bit sore, but no big deal. The surgeon just called to check in; he suggested a Tylenol tonight so I can sleep.

I was home by about 2, but have been pretty groggy most of the day.

I'll check in again tomorrow... thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Alice
