Pea-N-Me (Linda) and I were talking about getting some of us together somehow...anyway, I found this cool clipart when I joined the Dis and have shared it with a few other Dis survivors. I wanted to post the clip art for those of you who are bc survivors, and want to identify yourself, to add to your signature line...

Go to User CP, click on Edit Signature, then copy and paste the following, leaving out the spaces I added at the beginning and end of the address:

If you're still having trouble, the folks on the Technical Board are very helpful!

What the heck is GAGWTA???
It's our little buzz phrase to avoid hurting feelings when we respond to only a few posts specifically when we drop in...

I thought she would be a great way to start our new thread!

Hi! Just stopping in to say hello. I haven't been here since last fall. I'm the one who was diagnosed in August with BC and also found out I was pregnant. Just thought I'd update everyone. I had Bella on Christmas Eve. She weighed 3 lbs 10 oz. She was 8 wks early but she is very healthy and only had to spend 2 wks in the neo-natal unit. I've started chemo again and am feeling much better.
You can't tell from the picture but she has more hair than I do:)
Hope everyone is doing well and staying strong!

Beautiful Bella Grace!!! :cloud9: Laura, you may want to ask for the old thread to be locked so everyone makes their way here!

GAGWTA!!!

I was also thinking what a great way to end the old thread and start the new one - with the birth of a miraculous baby. How inspirational to those who will be posting here!

Here's a link to the story of Bella Grace's beginnings: http://www.disboards.com/showthread....10357&page=451

Thanks, Laura, once again! This thread will also be a great source of support to many, just as the old one was. :grouphug:

I am here.

I sure hope we will still be able to look at the old locked thread.

I sure hope everyone figures it out.

Laura, when you say packing for your new home, does that mean what I think it means? I thought you had an Easter trip?

Don't you just want to snuggle and love up that beautiful baby, Bella? She looks divine.

Love that name too. You may not believe this but the Italian friend and neighbor who found out sweet doggie Snappy (my alter ego) back in 2000 introduced her to as "Bella", we renamed her Snappy as she has this endearing habit of snapping her jaws together repeatedly when she is excited and happy.

Is Bella an Italian name? Astarr, are you Italian? My maternal great grandparents were from Sicily.

I guess that qualifies as Italian, southern style.

GAGWTA on our first page.

You know, this new thread deal just might work, maybe we'll have more people post as they may have gotten a little intimidated by the length of the thread. I know I felt that once when I tried to post on another megathread where everybody else seemed to "know" everybody else.

Be sure to subscribe to this new thread everybody.

Laura, thanks for finding the link Linda posted above about baby Bella's mom and when she first posted on the original GAGWTA thread back in August 2007.

What a story!!!! So glad astarr received good medical care. It certainly is inspiring, not just to expecting survivors, but to all of us. I bet little Bella is the belle of the ball in her hometown. What a victory over BC!!!

lol! No, I'm not moving my home, just the GAGWTA home!:rotfl2:

I thought Bella's sweet face would be the best way to start...I think I'll post her pic on every new GAGWTA thread!

Yes, my Easter trip is coming up, then Vegas in May with SIS. I have been doing some cleaning though, getting rid of stuff. I sold some things on Craigslist this weekend, and have something on Ebay. I should have enough to help pay for my trips.
:grouphug:

Sorry I wasn't around to answer the question on the other thread. You had it covered by posting the link at the beginning and the end. ;) I like our new home and I agree that Bella's picture is a lovely way to begin.

GAGWTA!

GAGWTA.

Glad I found the new thread. I love having Bella here to greet us all on the first page. She is so special. :lovestruc

I guess I am not too computer savy, I still can't figure out how to add the pink I survived Breast cancer ribbon to my signature, any more tips ? I'm sure I can get my Husband to add it when he gets in tonight.

I have my fifth chemo. treatment this Thursday, really not looking forward to it at all, But I will only have one more to go after that. My last treatment is February 28th, so I am looking forward to March and Spring and a new start. I will be starting radiation some time in March, but that can't be nearly as bad as chemo.

count me in! :woohoo:

I'll let the first page go by before adding my new info. Just that plans are not going the way I hoped.

GAGWTA!

I'm honored that Bella gets to be the official "greeter" on the first page.:woohoo:

Snappy: no, I'm not Italian...actually I'm Irish but I just liked the name Bella right from the beginning. Apparently, it means "beautiful" in Italian. I think that suits her.

Bella is the perfect name. I love how it sounds.

You chose wisely, mama.

beadylady,

Sounds like you news at the appointment with the plastic surgeon did not go as we had been hoping.

I can understand you not wanting the details on the first page of the GAGWTA chapter 2 thread. I might want to bury it if it were me as well.

Hang in there.

Do you have an appointment with another P.S. for a second opinion?

Laura, could you put a link to the old "part 1 thread" in the first post of this one? I've bookmarked it and even thought about buying a ream of paper and printing it ;) ........I hate the thought of "losing" that thread........

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=810357&pp=15

when I click on the link in Linda's post to astarr's first post about the unborn Bella, I get an error message :( hope it's just my puter acting up....

Ann, it is not just your computer. I am getting the same error message when I tried to open Astarr's first post back in August.

Weird, because I can link to the first page of the thread.

Must be some gremlins.

Also, I don't think the first thread is locked yet. I just did a trial post and it went through.

Not sure what is going on.

FYI y'all the other thread is now officially closed, as of tonight.

Do we need to play taps? Anybody got a bugle?

We are on page 2 now, beadylady, I hope you post soon, I am concerned about your earlier post and what answers you received today.

Happy Mardi Gras!

I added the link to the first thread to the first post here. I think they will be deleting all the long threads, which will be sad for us...:sad1:

Beady lady-Thinking of you...

It's a big day here! My oldest dd gets her braces OFF and my youngest dd gets her braces put ON! Next thing you know we'll be paying for college...
