DIS 10th Anniversary

Hi folks:

Believe it or not, on June 1st, we'll be celebrating 10 years online. I've been doing a series on our podcast on the history of the DIS, and the last installment will be on the show we air on June 1st (we normally do our shows on Tuesday's, but for the 10th anniversary, I want the show to go up on June 1).

Anyway, I'm asking folks on the site to tell us about how the DIS has impacted you over the last 10 years. Whether it was in planning a special trip, in friends you've made, or in any other way. We'll be featuring these around the site, on the boards, and on our June 1st show. If any of you would like to write something up, you can email it to podcast@wdwinfo.com Also, if you could post a request on your boards for this, I would appreciate it.

I might type in something. Then again, I have only been here for a fraction of that time, and I have never seen someone from June 1997 on these boards!

Wah! Can't believe it's been 10 years! I joined when the Dis UK was a separate entity and I've just stuck around!

I might decide to add something, the Dis certainly had an impact on my life, it helped me out big-time when my marriage broke up, knowing I had 'friends' on-line was an amazing help.

Congrats to the Dis and Pete Werner for achieving something so successful

The UK forum started out as a board on the main DIS site, then had it's own separate site, then was merged back again, so UK DISers have had various changes to 'members since' dates, post counts, etc.

I think the UK have been here pretty much since the beginning Pete started them all and we are still here

There was quite a few and we didnt have a uk community board all those years ago!! I was one of those that asked for us to have one, as there were alot of questions being posted that wasnt about disney planning!
