Dirty spot on Spaceship earth?

I don't know if this is the right place or not. But I remember awhile before our trip there was a thread where a diser asked if anyone else had seen the dirty looking spot on Spaceship Earth. I know that others said they didn't see it . Well we did see it and I have pictures. And no it wasn't a shade as some said on the other thread. I don't know if the original thread starter is around but is this what you saw?

It was kinda weird don't remember it from our previous trips was it there and we just missed it?

We saw it too on Sept 20th. It looks kinda gross. Something should definately be done about it! At least it is on the side as you enter the park so all our our pics of Spaceship Earth from the other side look good!

Actually in your pics it looks like the dirt is spreading... ew.

Yeah you can see it from the parking lot. We were there Sept. 19th.

I don't remember seeing it before but it really stands out in your picture. I wonder how long it has been like that. I agree that something should be done about it.

Wow! We were there this past weekend and I didn't notice it, but it does look pretty bad in your pictures. We haven't had much rain here lately so maybe that's part of it. We're going back this weekend and I will definitely look to see if it's still there!

The pictures were taken on our way in around 8:40am or so. We were surprised ourselves with how outstanding it was. I wonder how they would go about cleaning it?

I imagine it would involve a crane, kinda like the one in place near Cinderella Castle they are using the paint the castle. That way they could raise and lower it.

I saw that too! i was at WDW the week of 9/22-9/29 andi spotted it on the monorail leaving EPCOT. It doesnt look pretty, Im surprised maitenence isnt already on it. Its still Beautiful tho.
