Funny you should post about this.. I TIVo'd it the other night and literally am halfway thru that pilot episode.. I paused it and took a DIS break.

I don't know how I missed you posting about this originally (probably because I do too much lurking and not enough posting ). Anyhow my hubby and I are hooked on it, too....such high camp value and Mr. Billy is a treat, too...but the show is also important in terms of queer visibility. To my knowledge it is the FIRST (and if not the first, then only one of very few) time that a recurring character on a major (non-cable) network has been trans AND is played by an openly trans actor/actress (NYC's incomparable Miss Candis Cane in this case). I'm so thrilled that ABC (owned of course by our favorite Mouse) put itself out there.....and is now making history by being the only network with two trans principle characters in primetime (including Rebecca Romijn's character on "Ugly Betty")!
