Dirty Laundry :)

My family and I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency - Orange County in April for five nights(kids suite, thus avoiding the dreaded "SOUTH TOWER") and then two nights in San Diego. Does anyone know if they have laundry facilities there (not dry cleaning) at the hotel? If not, any nearby?

I really don't want to pack 7 days of clothes for my 2 kids and wife (ladies you know how many changes of clothes that would mean, because my wife says she needs a choice for everyday..but I digress). Anyways, any thoughts or help would be much appreciated!

if any laundry service at all the hyatt would have valett. Meaning they take your laundry and charge you an arm and a leg. The best bet would be to contact the hotel for the closest laundrymat. Which I assume is not that far away.

When we stayed at the Hyatt Orange County we used a laundromat called Big A Coin Laundry. It was pretty close like 2 miles or so is all from the Hyatt and easy to get to. You would go North on Harbor Avenue heading to Chapman Avenue.Once you get to Chapman turn left onto Katella Ave and then about a mile down you will see the Laundry. Their address is

1576 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92802-2703 THeir phone number is 714-778-1588.

Other than avoiding the south tower, do you have any information about the Hyatt I should know? We have reserved a kids suite so I am not worried, but my parents booked a regular smoking room through expedia.com. Should they call ahead and request the North Tower?

llmj--We had a kids suite as well when our kids were with us so unfortunately I dont have any advice on the towers. The kids suite was a little on the noisy side but they were doing some construction near the hotel so that was probably most of it! It was a really nice hotel though!!! We stayed there a few times in the kid suites but then we moved to the Crowne Plaza Garden Grove because it was brand new and seemed actually a little nicer than the Hyatt.

Have a great time though!!!! I'm jealous! We practically LIVE in DL every year so it's killing us to go to WDW rather than DL twice in a row!

The first year California Adventures (2001?) was open we(hubby and I ) went the week before July 4th. I'm not sure if it was our planning(we used the same plan that my parents used when they used to take me) or what but we seemed to have no more than 10 minute waits. We would come out of the ride and the line would be twice as long. We were there for 3 days and by the 3rd day we were Disney'd out if you can believe it. We rode ID probably 7 times, POC 8 times, HM Alot and all our other fav rides at least twice.

Of course we didn't have kids so we avoided Fantasy land until about 11pm(right after Fantasmic or the Fireworks). Longest wait was for Peter Pan about 10 minutes. Everything else was walk on.

We also took at least 3 hours off in the afternoon for swimming and a nap at the hotel.

We rode all the rides so much that we actually got headaches from all the motion and not enough down time.
