Dirty Dancing Wedding Video

We had a choreographed routine at our wedding! It was brilliant.
not dirty dancing, but DH had a hat a cane and we danced Fred Astaire style to "get happy" I have it on video/DVD but not brave enough to put it on You tube.
It took 5 weeks to rehearse twice a week, but we are theatre types and perform in alot of am dram in Bristol LOL.

Best bit was the record started as Boy Zone "no matter what" and then scratched into our dance tune - so everyone had to watch us slow dance first YAWN and then cane was thrown in by best man and we went for it!

Well I suppose it's better than shuffling from side to side awkwardly in the middle of the dancefloor and the groom standing on your dress AND your toes! (which is what DH and I did!)

Thanks for posting the link Kaylee, was going to look for it today anyway.

They did it because they had a movie themed wedding and their choreographer friend helped them learn it in twice weekly sessions.

Superb! I can't listen to that song, though, without crying. Dirty Dancing was one of my Dad's favourite films (a bit bizarre for a man, I guess, but he loved it) and it was one of the songs we played at his funeral.

It's really good, I've heard a lot about it on the local radio, though I'm probably one of the only women who hasn't seen the film and has never fancied it at all (or Patrick Swayze)
