Directions from LAX to Candy Cane

I know this gets asked all the time, but since I wasn't asking it before, I didn't pay real close attention!

It's been YEARS since I lived in L.A., and I'm not sure what the best route is from LAX to DL anymore? Googlemaps and the Disneyland site say to take the 105, then go NORTH on the 605 to the 5 (and from there, I'm good...)

Mapquest recommends going on 105, then SOUTH on 605 to 91 over to the 5.

And then there's always the 405 down to 22 and then up on the 5 (or onto Harbor instead?)

Any suggestions? I know I SHOULD be flying into SNA, but the last-minute $48 fare I got into LAX swayed me. I'll be renting a car and it'll be Thursday the 24th around 2:30/3:00ish.

- I generally take the 105 to 605 South to the 91 then the southbound 5. I can see how taking the 605 North to the southbound 5 might be easier to explain since it cuts out one freeway entirely, but it just seems wrong to backtrack. However either option involving the 105 to the 605 should work ok.

- I always avoid the 405.
