Directions at MGM

Sorry if this is a silly question, but if I want to go from Backlot Tour to Al's Toy Barn, do I have to walk all the way back around the Great Movie Ride and Commissary Lane, or is there somewhere to cut through near the playground? It is hard to tell on the maps.

You can cut through by the HISTK playground and get to it that way. You dont have to go around.

You'll exit the Backlot Tour through AFI Showcase so proceed through the giftshop and bear to your left where you'll pass through another gift shop. At this point, take a right and you'll pass Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground on your left. You'll go underneath an overpass of sorts and end up in the middle of NY Street. Take a left and go all the way up NY Street and take a right to get to the Muppetvision 3D Fountain. Go past the fountain, with Pizza Planet on your left and follow the path until you reach Al's Toy Barn.
