Did a quick search and didn't find that this was posted yet. I just saved a ton (even with the fees they tack on) for our flights in June/July.

Travel beginning in Dec. 2011. Book this fare on visitdirectair.com using promo code "YLXEM" to get 50% off. This price includes $30 convenience fee. Sale ends Oct. 16, 2011.

Hi Maryann!!! We're on DirectAir tomorrow!!! Sadly, no more airline bookings after that for me..not for awhile. Got that nasty college tuition to figure out now.

Awww, come on! With these prices you can sneak in a trip or two.....say first week of July;)

Safe travels. Looks like a great day for flying.

Have a wonderful trip!

I will have to check that out, sounds great.:surfweb:

Just booked out of Plattsburgh, NY and back in July of next year. Total $518.40 for three. Nobody could even touch that price.

First time flying them so we will see. Now the other problem is the car rental. Our flight comes in roughly at 10:30pm. The Hertz closes at noon on Saturday. But USAve has a counter in terminal, so I will check that out and see how that works as I never rented from them.

USave closes at 10pm but will make accomodations for those that are coming after that time. So we should be good to go!

One thing I just read that I can't figure out is, what is their baggage policy? Do we have to pay for bags checked or what? :confused3

Yes, I believe it's 25/bag each way. They told me to feel free to max out the carry on luggage though.

You are only allowed two checked bags but there is a charge for each bag. 1st - $25, 2nd - $30, IIRC

while booking on-line there was a section for service fees options (checked bag fee being one of them) that you should have checked off if you needed them so they could be applied to your total fare. Be sure you add them before your trip since they will charge you more at the gate.

The 50% sale has been extended to 10/21!

I booked our April flights from Worcester, MA to Sanford/Orlando. Can't touch the price. We've never flown with them before. Hope everything goes well.

Do you remember the total for carry on bags (how much weight)...dont have the paperwork on me at the moment?? Thanks!

If I didn't add them initially. Can I add them later? We decided the stroller needs to come with us and be checked in!

I got in on this great deal too!

only 300 for hubby and I to fly down there in May!

I can walk to my airport (only .25 miles away) and will save on money having to pay for car parking, and gas to drive to Detroit (2.5 hours away)!

I am interested in what everyone is doing to get from SFB to WDW! I've looked at rental cars but they seem a bit much for a week (325) in May.

What have you done in the past?

I ended up renting from Usave for the week for around $260 total. Not bad.

We booked flights for May too, from Worcester. Can't beat $295 for two people round trip. My experience with Direct Air is that you need to be prepared for delays. We've been fine though. I bring my own snacks, and buy something to drink after security at the airport. If I'm checking a bag, I pay for it early. In May we're planning on just carry-ons.

HTH

Maliki- There isn't a Usave at the Sanford airport....I'm playing the rental car game right now!

Dgaston- thanks for the advice. I feel ok flying with them in May but know that they have had issues when the snow is falling here in Michigan! Thanks for the snack tips!

30 lb and 45 linear inches - length + width + height
you can also take a "personal bag" - purse, laptop bag, etc.
