I see a lot of posters saying go LAX if it's cheaper or a shorter flight time. But if those things are equal, do people prefer flying into SNA over LAX if the DLR is your destination?
If it's a choice between two same-priced, direct, flights, I'll go into SNA.
But if I'm dealing with connecting in LAX for, what, a 20 minute flight? And to have it lengthen my time by 3 hours? No. I won't do that.
For the traveler, especially if you're not dealing with parking or any of that, LAX is almost the easiest airport I've been in. Very difficult to get lost, as long as you enter your terminal. And since there are shuttle stops at each terminal, it's very easy to catch your shuttle as well.
If I lived in the area and was picking people up (for, say, a Dis meet, right MaryJo?

Compare that to our endless walk at SNA when it turned out our flight took off from the very very furthest terminal, down *stairs*, in what felt like an unused corner of the airport, and I think I'd take LAX over my last SNA experience (we even got to walk onto the tarmac and climb stairs to catch our tiny plane up to SFO and on to MCO...but it was a free-with-miles flight on United and beggars can't be choosers, right?).
