Agree it's something they could/should fix, but they do provide an official solution- adding the membership ID card to one's digital wallet. If cast members are accepting the number in the MDE app my guess is they're not following protocol since to your point the app is not able to prove whether or not you're eligible for membership benefits. I'd also consider the moral implications of getting the discount illegitimately. Yes it's on them to close loopholes but I personally wouldn't feel good about knowingly taking advantage of it.

I have no morals when it comes to the prices they charge.

Yes, probably CM dependent. I haven’t summed up the courage to attempt Lounge entry yet. Perhaps I’ll give it a go if I feel mischievous enough. But the truth is that Lounges hold no value for me.

Those CMs are consistent and I have watched o to ere get turned away wiithout ID and digital card. It’s cause that’s all they do!

I’m a dirty white card resale member but I haven’t had any trouble bagging the 20% discount in the stores this week. The cm asks if you’re a DVC member (which you are) and then asks you to prove it by showing your DVC Member Id on MDE app / Account / Profile / Membership and Passes.

If Disney want to fix that then they easily can by showing membership class. Until then I’m happy taking the discount.

Just keep using that way, I added it to my “wallet” once and it shows not eligible, so I removed my wallet from my Home Screen. lol
