I started to think more about getting 100 points at either BLT or CCV. My question is regarding to access to the APs.

Anyone in the family at the same address is able to have access to the AP discount (limit of 8) correct? Is there a way to give access to the AP discount to my parents as well? Also, are two addresses able to be on file if you were to have co-ownership with someone?

I assume there is not an option for someone named without ownership rights correct?

Thanks

Everyone who lives at your address can get the AP discount. One of your parents would have to be on the deed for them to get the AP discount.

My sister and I co-own our contract and everyone who lives in our households can get the AP discount. They basically look at the name on your DVC blue card and your drivers license. And then look to see that the address matches up on the IDs of others getting the AP.

If the are not owners, then they have to be in the same household,

However, you can add them as owners, and then each of your households is eligible to get 8.

It is why we bought RIV with my 3 adults children. All of is are now eligilbe

Everyone on the dead is eligible for the AP perk for themselves and everyone else living at their address (up to 8), even if the people on the deed live at different addresses. However, it has to be a direct purchase, and someone at each address has to be on the deed to be eligible.

When we purchased our second direct DVC contract, which was at BLT, we had myself, my wife, and both of our children listed on the deed as co owners. (they were both over 18 at that time). When we made that BLT purchase, we also paid to rewrite and have our two children added to the deed on our first direct contract, which was at BWV, that we had purchased when they were under 18.

Now both of our children, as well as my wife and I are all eligible for all "perks" of being direct owners, (since we are all members) despite the fact we live at different addresses. Those perks include all of us being able to purchase AP's at the DVC rate for ourselves and everyone else living at our addresses.

Not sure about the limit of 8.
Whether it per address, or per membership? (however, based on what Sandisw said above it appears to be per address (household)
For example, not sure if our daughter (who is a member), her husband and potentially their 3 children who all live at the same address, could purchase 5 AP's, and our son (who is a member), his wife and potentially their 3 children who all lived at a different address could also purchase 5 AP's, and my wife and I could also purchase 2 AP's, for a total of 12 for the membership, but not more than 8 for each address.
Not an issue currently, since we have only 2 grandchildren, so there are only 8 of us in total.

Hope that helps

ETA: see @Sandisw post below, where she verified it is 8 per address.
Also, FYI: my wife, myself, and both of our children each have our own "blue cards"

It is 8 per owners address. I verified that when I bought in November.

I guess a dumb question what happens if you move? Is it a simple update? Also as the owner on the deed as long as the name matches are you good regardless of address on your license?

I plan on having myself and my wife on it. I know the kids don't get IDs checked so since we both would be named I would be good then when we move at some point.

You can update your address in the system to your new one, and your license would then need to either have that new address, or have whatever happens in your state...I know many just put a sticker on back until it’s up for renewal,

They do check that what ID you have matches the address on file since people with the same name could use it.

They enter your membership number and it brings up all your details.
