Direct flight from Scotland

I cannot find a direct flight from Glasgow or Edinburgh to Orlando leaving on the 2nd or 3rd Dec this year. I am looking too early? In the wrong places? Maybe such a flight just doesn't exist?

Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have never seen a direct flight from Glasgow or Edinburgh in December. i dont think there is a demand so it is either a trip down to Manchester or Gatwick First.
The only one i can think of that might would be Icelantic Air

The problem I think is that as its outside the peak times, many charters do not fly and even the scheduled airlines use the time to carry out work on the aircraft.
We are flying 1st dec from LGW but I was quite amazed that the flight is filling up early this year

You will get a flight through the scheduled airlines. I did a quick search on dial a flight and came up with one on 3rd December for 14 nights at £194 with American airlines. There are plenty of other ticket networks who will search for scheduled flights for you. Have a look on teletext as well . The flights are there and they shouldn't be too expensive.

If you want direct non-stop then nothing is available for your dates unless Globespan announce Glasgow -Sanford flights for the Winter which include those dates. As yet they have only committed to a flight schedule up to end of October.
You are really looking at scheduled flights from Gatwick, Heathrow or Manchester with a connecting domestic flight from Glasgow/Edinburgh or possibly AA or Continental with a change in the US, but I'm not sure of their winter schedules.

The first year we went to Orlando we flew from Glasgow to Sanford. Ever since then we have had to fly from Glasgow to Gatwick and then from Gatwick to Orlando.

More operators are running direct flights if you are flying and peak times and only going for 14 days.

We are flying from Edinburgh in December with Continental but we have one stop at Newark.
