I'm such a sick ticket that I'm looking to next Oct even though we just got back last Fri. It's too early to see legacy carrier fares this early and SW, AT and the like don't post until much later, would anyone be so kind as to let me know what you paid for Oct directs out of PHL this year? We haven't flown out of there in 3 years or so.

Thanks,

I got back last night and paid $227 RT on USAirways, direct non-stop each way. The price has been similar for many years. I fear it will increase soon.

Just FYI, there is no such thing as a "direct non-stop" flight. A nonstop flight has no stops, a direct flight does stop.

Actually all non stops are direct. But not all direct flights are non stops.

Btw I've been a travel agent for over 30 years.

If you want to get the best price if using Allegiant, Buying from a counter on Sunday or Thursday at the Allegiant counter AVP. For five of us last Oct was $750 total, but we also had three checked bags totaled $870.
A few tickets were 1@ $35, 3@ $55, 1@ 79.It was a breeze to get through security at both airports, no fuel or tolls to Allentown or Phila. Our minivan was $303 through Alamo a few weeks out.

This Sept. i had booked on USAir connecting out of ABE USAir to PHL to MCO RT $201.50 purchased back in April/May. This was because there were no Allegiant flights out of AVP in Sept....also I thought we were using ME this recent trip.

It is a little further from WDW to Sanford but you gain it returning a car and the small security lines, oh and the closer gates!

"Non-stop direct" is not proper terminology. Here is an explanation, if anyone is really interested:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonstop_flight

A non-stop flight, especially in the aviation industry, refers to any flight by an aircraft which does not involve any intermediate stops. A "direct flight" is not the same as a "non-stop flight."

For some reason, many people have a great deal of trouble understanding the difference between a direct and a non-stop flight.

Don't get me started on travel agents, ;)
