Direct entrance into Pixar Pals structure

Is there an entrance on Magic Way that leads directly into the PP structure? We are going tomorrow morning and my son REALLY wants to park in PP. Last week, we entered through the main entrance for M&F and ended up on the Minnie level, but as we were walking out, we walked over to PP so we could see the new levels (my son is autistic and loves Cars and wanted to see the signs for that level). Anyway, we saw cars driving up a ramp right into PP, but I don't know where that ramp originates. Can we enter the PP structure directly?

I don't think the Magic Way entrance is open yet, although that could have changed since I had eyes on that entrance a couple weeks ago. I do know that the exit ramps from PP structure were not yet open this past Sunday (so you had to drive across and around to exit thru M&F).

I've been a couple times in the last week and both times I entered M&F and was routed up to a floor and then across to PP (once on the green Goofy/??? level, and once on the pink Minnie/Inside Out level) so there's definitely a chance you'll get to PP even if you enter at M&F.

Yes, there is an entrance across from the old Downtown Disney entrance. It's not always open...we've entered around 4:00 pm, but when we tried another day around 5:00, they closed it before we could get to it. We went in today around 1:00-1:30. We were the only car going in both times. :rotfl2:

Good to know. We will try that first. Would love to avoid the 15 minute line to get into M&F if possible.

I *think* they close it when they are using it as an exit. I parked there on Sunday and entered on Magic Way. But when I left later on, they were using it as an exit. All the cones they place are confusing as you approach them so be sure to go slow. It seems a little weird to me that the ramp to get up to the lot is the same one used to exit (unless I'm mistaken and confused from all the thousands of cones! lol).

If it’s in the morning it will be open. When I went for rope drop this past Saturday I went straight to Pixar pals on magic way and had no line for the toll booth and it took less than 2 minutes after that to be parked compared to the Saturday before at Mickeys and friends taking close to 30 min at rope drop.

The cones are definitely confusing! I got in to where the booths are & had to stop to figure out which one was open. 🤣

They have those boom gate/bars that are down if the booth is closed but it's hard to see them for some reason. Why don't they use green and red lights at the booth entrances?

It worked! We were in in like a minute and got to park right by the escalators on the Monsters Inc level.

But then we had to wait 20 minutes for the tram. Boo!

What is up with that lately? It seems like every visit, the wait for the trams gets longer. Have they cut staff that much??

I don't know, but I was SO annoyed yesterday. We were in the loading zone all the way to the right and they are supposed to alternate trams, but they loaded and drove off THREE trams in the center loading zone while we just stood there. The drivers just kept pulling up and stopping at the center zone, instead of pulling forward. People started getting vocal after the 3rd tram. Finally a tram pulled towards us, then stopped. A supervisor came out and talked to the driver for about 5 minutes, leaving and then coming back with a clipboard. Meanwhile ANOTHER tram pulls up to the center zone and starts loading. I seriously almost lost it. We literally stood at the front, ready to board the next tram, for 15 minutes total. I timed it. They need to get it together, start using all three loading zones, and train the drivers to go to the furthest open load zone.

Until then, my recommendation is go to the center loading zone. It gets all the trams. We had a similar experience last week.

This is exactly what has happened to us the last few Saturdays! It's crazy and frustrating!

Interestingly, I got a survey today about my visit yesterday. It was quite long. There were several questions about my parking and tram ride experience as well as a box where I could give feedback after I said my tram experience was "poor". I let them have it. Hope they make some changes soon!

Let's hope your survey response makes it up the management chain and that we see some major improvement soon! I like the new tram area overall, but the whole boarding thing (both at the structure and at DTD) is a miserable experience right now!
