Hey all. We just arrived today and after dinner my wife and I decided to take a walk to the gates to gauge how far this walk really is. Although it was easy I think it wo present a problem for my Mom who has a breathing problem. I think of it as she's a tank of air. Full initially but when it runs dry she's spent for the day and needs inhalers etc. so tomorrow morning we have a CP ADR AT 8:10am. With the monorails not running till late I had 2 questions.

1) is there a bus that picks up its last passengers at CR and goes to MK (Id hate for her to have to go all over when we can see the MK from the balcony.)

2. Will the busses run early enough to get her there?

I don't know if they're running a bus while the monorail is down or not, but I'm going to guess that they aren't.

You should ask the concierge - in person, though. Whatever you do, don't call - you will get a call center.

You should really get your mom a wheelchair. Summer in WDW can be difficult even for people without breathing problems.

I doubt it. I would second the suggestion to get your mom a wheelchair. I guess you could get a bus to the TTC, then transfer to either the ferry or to a bus to the MK from there, but that seems to be a bit convoluted and time consuming.

There should be buses running from CR to MK while the monorail is unavailable, but I don't know whether they will be non-stop. There may be one or, at most, two stops before going to the MK.

The buses may not have MK on their marquee; they may have the intermediate stop instead. Check with the drivers of any buses with TTC or other nearby resorts on the marquee to see if the bus is continuing to the MK.

If there is a bus to the MK from the CR, or would make a lot more sense for it to be the stop prior to the MK. Makes little to no sense to go elsewhere after the CR.....but that's just me. It would make more sense to run an early boat over to the MK.

Disney Transport often doesn't make sense! ;)

But seriously, it has to do with the location of the MK bus loop in relation to the CR entrance and the way the signals are set up. It's easier for a bus to get from MK to CR than it is from CR to MK.

The bus is not just carrying Guests from CR to MK; it's carrying them from MK to CR and one or 2 other locations, and carrying them back to MK from all of those locations. Which is why the bus may not have MK on the marquee when it arrives at CR.
