Hey everyone! This year I am spending my birthday at the Magic Kingdom and will be touring solo! I am very excited as I have only ever gone with family or a significant other and I haven't been to Disney in about 8 years. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do but would love to hear other's thoughts on what their perfect day at the Magic Kingdom would be. It can be pre covid or not as my trip isn't until October so who knows what will be available.

I'm easy because I'm not ride centric. Get there around park opening, not a rope dropper. Must do rides in no particular order - People Mover, CoP, HM, Liberty Bell, BTMR, Pirates, Jungle Cruise. Bonus rides - PP, SDMT, Winnie the Pooh. Pre-Covid shopping on Main Street. Was there early April and didn't enjoy that as much - not as much merch in the stores, Main St. Sweet Shop closed, standing in line for Emporium and HM store, no package delivery back to resort. At some point grabbing an ice-cream cone at the ice cream shop (closed for Covid now) and going to Pecos Bill for the toppings bar and nachos (no toppings bar now). Pre-new nighttime show with the focus on projections on the castle, grabbing a seat on the bridge to tomorrow land and watching Tink fly right over then FWs. Right before they closed for Covid they changed the show to projection based to sitting on the bridge doesn't allow you to see the castle that well and Tink didn't fly until the end of the show. At some point break to go back to resort or another park to get away from the crowds.

Thank you for sharing! Sorry that your April trip wasn't as good as usual. I won't be rope dropping either and will definitely make this more of a go with the flow type day.

My April trip wasn't bad, just different and I plan on going back in Sept.

I just got back from a solo trip and for my MK day, I made it a point to do things I wouldn't normally do when I'm with a group, in particularly things I myself haven't ever done (or not in many, many years). I took a ride on the Liberty Boat and also sat in on Mickey's Philharmagic just to name a few. I also booked myself a lunch reservation at Jungle Navigation. All in all it was a very, very easy going day and I enjoyed it. Now on my first solo MK, trip? That was a different story...that day I rode everything I could manage to fit in and loved every minute of it. The best part of a solo day is that it is all about YOU! Have a blast!

I will also be spending my birthday at MK this year. It’s a milestone one and my first unintentional solo trip so I am making the best of things. Staying at GF so will walk over as early as possible, zig while others are zagging to hit my fave rides, and enjoy my fave snacks. Lunch will be a relaxing boat ride to my beloved Poly for the thai coconut meatballs at Capt Cook’s (one of my fave QS meals), nap back at the resort, then go back to MK to stroll Main Street, enjoy some more rides. Dinner at CRT. Hopefully see a cavalcade or 2.

Just do what you want. That’s the best part about being solo at the World.

Thanks for sharing everyone! It is just making me more and more excited. Only a little bit over 5 months to go!
