Dinosaur scary for adults!?!?

Thanks for the replies, it sounds like this is a really unique, really intense ride!

To the poster who asked if I'd ever rode Dinosaur: no I haven't, but hope to do it soon! I still can quite comprehend how an adult is scared by something like this, though the rock concert/sensory overload analogies make me understand better.

I can only said that it sounds like those of you who were scared by the ride got to really, REALLY experience all the intensity that Dinosaur throws your way. I guess that's the way it should be!

Maybe in a few months I'll be the one posting here how I went hysterical with fear while riding Dinosaur! :teeth:
My kids are 11 and 12 that ride this..They aren't scared easily..They think loop roller coasters are a walk in the park... They close their eyes and duck on this ride every single time lol

I had fun on this ride but lord knows I felt like I had to hang on! This was one fast and bumpy ride! When we got back in Aug I will try and have DD and I sitting on the indside so I wont feel like I might get thrown out! lol

It's not a scary ride to me; but it sure is jolting and back wrenching. I won't ride it again for that reason. But I'm glad it's there because it helps divert some of the crowd away from stuff I do want to experience.

Enjoy.

That's the one thing I hate about this ride. I always end up on the outside of the row, it seems, and I have really short arms, so I have to bend over and stretch to reach the bar to hang on. I always look like a fool in the pictures.

My daughter, 21, is terrified of this ride. She was in tears before we went on last time. But she continues to go on it. Last year she screamed so loud she terrified the little kids behind us. This year there was a family from England behind us with a son around 13-14. He was scared to death before the ride ever started. He kept asking his mom in his wonderful English accent, "Mummy, are you sure there are no hills on this ride? Mummy, are you sure? Are there loops on this ride?" It was so funny and sweet at the same time. So this teenage boy and my 21 year old daughter screamed throughout the whole ride.

I always look *terrified* in the picture they take on this ride. I don't think it's that I'm that scared, though. Maybe a little startled here and there, but the main factor is that it's so LOUD that I can't help but cringing when a dinosaur roars. And there's a roar like that when the picture is taken!

Myself,DH and DDs 4&5 really liked the ride. Then when T-Rex roared at the end, I think we all just about peed in our pants!

It's definitely scary, but not so much because of the dinosaurs as the popping out thing and the noise like others have said. The last dinosaur when your picture is taken is the worst part since it pops out right above you. My family likes to make fun of me because as much as I try to be brave and smile through it, my eyes are closed in the picture every time. The rest of the ride would be enjoyable if not for that last part.

I am over 40 and I did not like Dinosuar. It is dark and loud. I spent the entire ride with my eyes closed like a scared 5 yr old. :)
