My GD who just turned 5 who is a total princess, girlie girl. But she does love a wide variety of boy interests. She wanted a Dinosaur birthday party at the local Buffalo Museum of Science. Take a look at the cake her mother had made at a local bakery "Dessert Deli". They also made her Mickey/Minne Wedding cake we posted a few years back.

The trees, lava with her name and dinos were made of chocolate. The volcano which we thought was just cardboard covered in icing was actually similar to a ding dong. Chocolate cake with a lucious creamy center. Everyone agreed it was amazing to look at and even better to eat. :goodvibes

That cake is totally cool. How much did it cost?

Take a breath, my DH asked would you believe $100.:scared1:

They had about 30 people at the party so they was enough cake for all but ouch. This is not your average bakery, it is in one of the better neighborhoods.

I totally agree it was worth every penny. But I could see my parents turning in their graves over this one. My mom used to bake all our cakes and the thought of paying for one was totally out of the question.
