Dinosaur-AK or Indiana Jones-DL

For those of you who have been on those two rides : Dinsaur at A.K & Indiana Jones at Disneyland , CA ...I understand that both rides have similar mechanisms , but which one is more intense ( in terms of speed , shaking & bumps )

Without a doubt the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland in Anaheim is by far the best of the two. The Indiana Jones ride is more intens, takes a longer time and finally, but that can be personal, it has a much better theme and there are much more surprises.

If it is me, my vote for the best themepark ride go's to the Indiana Jones ride. I mean the one at Disneyland Anaheim, not the one at Disneyland Paris, where it is only a backwards looping coaster.

This does not mean that the Dinasaur ride at Animal Kingdom at WDW is not good. The Dinasaur ride is in my top three of best rides at Walt Disney World.

In my experience of the rides, I thought the two tracks were almost identical. I really love the Indy theming a lot more. The vehicles seemed to jerk, shake, and dive just about the same amount to me. I bet there's a park expert out there who knows exactly what the differences are.

I think Indy may be a hair more intense as far as movement goes. It definately has better sets and all encompassin visuals. But Dinosaur has the best scare.

Indy---better theming, more to look at, WAY better queue

Dino---darker, much scarier

Which do I like better??? Well, at DL I'll go on Indy as often as possible, even waiting in stand-by. At WDW last week, no line for Dinosaur but we only did it once!

Maybe you shouldn't know this, so I will tell you.

At first, when Dinasaur was Countdown to Extinction, it was a faster ride. At one moment, early 2000 they slowed down the ride a little bit. It was because it should be too fast for the little ones to ride it. Many Disney fans were complaining at that time without succes. Personaly I don't know the faster experience of the ride, since my first visit to WDW was after the change.
There were rumors that Disney should make the ride as fast as it was when it opens after that some other mayor rides are opened to have more rides for the little ones.

I'm sure there are other people here on the board who should know this, so correct me if I'm wrong.

I was at AK in May of 98 a few weeks after the park opened. We liked Dinosaur but when I returned I knew they had toned it down a bit but I didn't notice it. I think it is because it is scarier!!!!

I really like them both. For some reason Indy really hurt my neck. That never happened on Dinosaur.

Indy is a WAY better ride, IMHO.

They both can jerk you around.

I agree that Indy is definitely the better of the two. I think it's also a bit more intense.

Dinosaur seems to me to be the rougher ride, but it could just be because it's a much scarier ride so Mom has to have her arm around the child and can't hold on properly.

Indy is by far the better attraction.
