Does anyone have any pictures of your meal with Shamu. Would love to see some. Thanks
:)

Was it worth the price? I booked this for May but have been second guessing myself.

We liked the experience, since we love the killerwhales.
I will tell you the good and the bad:
First the bad: Taima was the whale that was in the pool while we ate, she was in a "mood" and really didnt want to swim, so she spend most of the time in the corner where the gate to the other pool was.

the good was: since she was in a "mood" they brought out Tilikum to swim along with her so she atleast swam for a bit.
The trainers tell more about the whales and their characters and how to tell them apart. you get a bit of inside info but not that much. the whales do a few "tricks" and you get to see them pretty upclose.
The food is good, nothing really special but it was nice :goodvibes

We loved the experience and would do it again.
But... what made it extra special for us was that we had diner there on Mothersday, and it was the last day of our trip, and I had managed to keep it a secret for my DD for atleast 3 months :rotfl:

I am not sure everyone will find it worth the money, but we definately did :goodvibes :thumbsup2

It is definitely worth it for a special occasion. We celebrated my DD 5th birthday there. We had great seats and order a special birthday cake. They sang happy birthday to her and had the whales in the pool help with the song by waving their tales.

The food was nothing spectacular but it was ok. The whale show at the time we went was excellent. They had two whales in the pool at once doing tricks. You can get very close to them without getting wet. I would recommend this show. Enjoy!!

You need to call 1-800-327-2424 for advance reservations. At the time you make your reservations, ask about ordering a B-day cake. I think the cost was around $15 - $20 when we order, but its been a couple of years so I am not for sure about the exact cost. The cake was fairly large and you can take the leftovers with you. Made for a good snack back at the room.

Here are my pics from the show... It's amazing...

Wow Tillikum looks beautiful Im actually planning to take my brother and sister to do this. It seems to be worth it. plus anytime with the orcas is a time well spent!! thanks for the pictures.

btw: tai is usually always in a mood when she's not near tillikum. but now she has a calf so she's not as bad.. I just hope she does a better job caring for her calf. Shes a good mother but she needs to learn alittle more i think..

We did this last year, and was great value , need to out for about 10 mins, will find some posts when i come back.
