Cinderella’s royal table or Akershus hall I have a five and six year old I can’t decide and we r doing a lot of character meals allready ?? We must see sleeping beauty

We saw Aurora at Akerhaus lunch, but they do always caution that characters can change without prior notice. Aurora does also do meet and greets outside of France multiple times a day usually.

We enjoyed Akerhaus—it’s cheaper and easier to get a reservation than CRT. We saw Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, and Cinderella at our lunch

Thanks that’s the way I was going since I’m trying to plan so many other character meals

We like Akershus much more than CRT. It is fun going into the castle but CRT was a one and done for us whereas we go to Akershus most trips (even with my kids being tweens/teens now).

From everything I’ve read, most people enjoy Akershus more, but do think CRT is worth it just once for the magic. We are doing CRT for that reason now (girls 3 and 6), and then will look towards Akershus in future visits (as pp stated, even teens love akershus). I can’t tell you how excited my girls are just to go up the stairs in THE “castle”. I figured I’d capitalize on the magic while it’s still there. Can’t compare from experience but just wanted to share my train of thought.

I think of all the meals we enjoyed in the Castle, lunch remains our favorite. It was fun, and the stairs are pretty amazing, I agree.

I do think the best experience for Princess dining is Breakfast at Akershus.

If you’re on the dining plan Akershus is a better value (1 credit vs 2 for CRT). But I personally think everyone should dine in the castle once!

Cinderella’s Royal Table is a must for us every trip. We skipped it once and had breakfast at Akershus instead. Epic disappointment.

We much prefer the ambiance, food, and Princess interactions inside Cinderella’s castle.

My 21 year old DD absolutely adores Aurora, and they always have a fun time posing for photos together.

Did you think the interaction was more at crt ?? I keep reading it’s rushed ??

It’s never been rushed for us, even going back to the days when DD wanted autographs in addition to photos. We talk with the princesses, make jokes, and take dozens of photos. It feels both relaxed and magical all at the same time.

They can all feel rushed at times, regardless of where you are. It's not better or worse at a certain place. But each place is better or worse at different times. In general though, if you have questions and are more engaged in the interaction, the characters will be too.

FOr my family, the interaction at both restaurants is very good. On our last visit to CRT for dinner I found that there was a sort of "anxiety" from the Princesses, although to be very fair, we were dining in the middle of a caravan of hooligans. Kids were pretty outrageous IMO and the character handlers and Princesses had a bit of a hard time making them stay in their seats and wait their turn. There had been torrential rain for what seemed to be days, so I believe that added to the frenzy from some kids, and adults as well. The Princesses did their best to keep their visits to our table personal.

That same trip we dined at Akershus for a PPO meal. The only one I thought was rushed was Belle, and that was odd to me. I think they were trying to get everyone in and seated. Once inside the meal was really nice, and the interactions more relaxed.

I honestly believe that CRT is special and if you can only choose one meal, that would be the one I suggested because it is Iconic Disney. If you are sacrificing other meals to add CRT, I would not feel badly to Begin the day in Norway with that meal, it is lovely.

At age 6, she won't be in the princess stage much longer (sadly). I say do them all! But what do I know, I did CRT twice in one day when my DD was 7. :) We felt like we owned the place.

My greatest priority in scheduling dining at WDW it to try and make it fit my touring plan as well as possible. I don't hop to eat. We only do meals in the parks we're going to be in.

Sci Fi is a lot of fun. That one stays fun longer for most people though. People don't age out of it. I'd soak the princess thing now. If you can do Sci Fi as well, then go for it. But do it on a day you'll be in the park already.

A few years ago I brought two special littler Proncesses with me. We booked character meals galore and the girls had a blast! We did CRT, 1900 PF breakfast and dinner, Akershus breakfast, Chef Mickey, and 'Ohana with Stitch. I am so glad we did those meals, they are only that age for a short time.
