Dinning plan & tips

I know that the tips/gartuities are not included in the dinning plan (free dinning plan) and i was wondering how it works.

Do they give you a bill for how many tips you owe? Anything else we should know?

Think of it like eating at any normal restaurant. After your meal the server will give you your bill. The receipt will show the total cost of the meal(what you would pay if not on DP). Instead of paying with cash or CC you will give them your KTTW card(room key, park tickets, ddp credits all on one card). They will take your card and deduct the proper dining credits. Based on your bill you will be able to figure out what you choose to tip. You will be given a receipt after any meal (ts, cs, snack) showing how remaining DP credits are on your card.

You will get a slip with the cost of the meal, but you'll be paying for the meal with your dining plan credits.

I understand the slip will also have suggested tip amounts on it (total bill's tip calculated at 18% and at 20%).

If you have 6 or more persons in your party you will be billed for an automatic 18% tip.

I am surprise Disney hasn't went a step further to tell you exactly how much the tip is

Thanks! It is a t-shirt, but I have seen it in different ways with different verses.
