I am 25 days until my WDW vacation!!!:wizard:

OK I have two questions about the Deluxe Dinning Plan-
1. The childrens menu: On it it always offers a complete meal and other options. Are my children allowed to order anything they want as long as it is on the childrens menu?

2. I read somewhere else that I can use one of my table service credits for 4 snacks? Is this true? We love to snack!

Thanks for your help!!

1. Yes you go it.
2. You can do that at the resort food courts depending on the promo at the time. The offer varies from time to time and by resort. The last offer we got was 2 snacks and one drink for 1 QS credit. You used to could exchange 1 TS for 2 QS meals but I havn't seen that one in a few years.

The children get a drink, appetizer (soup, veg & dip, salad, etc) and dessert (ice cream, fruit salad, apple slices with cinnamon and sugar, etc). My niece has been able to get a fruit salad as her appetizer and then ice cream for dessert. If they want the entree from the complete meal, but don't want the appetizer they want a different one we haven't ever had a problem getting it.

With the DxDP you get 2 snacks per night. If you want to trade in your TS credit for more snacks you can but it's not worth it. You get 2 snack credit and a drink for 1 TS/CS credit. With the DxDP the credits can be used as TS or CS meal credits.

My understanding is that the official policy does not allow for exchanging of dining credits. So, you may be allowed to exchange credits (most often on a one-to-one basis), but do not count on it. Also, most people seem to have the best luck exchanging credits at the resorts (not at the parks).

I'm going to move this to our dining plan board.

Re: #1 -- yes, you can either order from the "kid's complete" or the ala carte section of the kids' menu. I'll note that my experience a couple of years ago was that you can mix-and-match items from the "kid's complete" and ala carte, as long as you pick one entree and two from the appetizer and dessert groups. (That is, you could order two "appetizers" or two "desserts" without any fuss -- we'd often get the "dessert" fruit cup as an appetizer for the kids.)

Everyplace except LTT let our kids have any of the apps listed, any entree and any dessert. LTT the waiter made the kids get what was in the picture  This was not the only problem of the meal and the manager ended up giving us our credits back to use somewhere else, he agreed that the waiter should have let them get what they wanted.

I would suggest you ask for a manager if you have problems getting your kids the food they want.
