dinning ideas outside of DL

Hi all I'm new to this. We will be in DL 6/4-6/8, my question is dining ideas outside of the park. Looking for resonable prices for a family of 4 2 of which are teens. What resturants are close by.

We enjoy going to Bakers Square (sandwiches, entrees and yummy pies). It is located on Harbor Blvd just south of Katella.

In addition to the restaurants in Downtown Disney (like House of Blues, Rainforest Cafe etc) there are plenty of cheap places to eat just outside the parks on Harbor Boulevard.

We loved Mimi's - which is opposite the Howard Johnson, about a 10 minute walk from the parks. On that walk you will also see a McDonalds, a Milli's, an IHop and a few other fast food places.

We went to Cuban Pete's on a whim and LOVED it!!!!! Huge portions, wonderful food, great prices! Right off of D-Land dr and I think Ball rd. Highly recommend it!!!!

I'll second Mimi's. There is also a Denny's and a Mc Donalds in the same area. I love Tony Romas - though not cheap but not expensive either. Also love the Rainforest Cafe' in DDD. Whatever you do don't eate at Captain Kidds.

We like Joe's Crab Shack (about 1 mile down Harbor Blvd.)
It's my boys (11 &17) favorite place to eat when we go to DL. It's not especially cheap...prices similiar to Chili's. There is also a Red Robin next door that my kids like also.

Another warning to stay away from Capt'n Kidds. It may sound like a deal being a buffet, but its horrible.

We love Mimis, Joe's Crab Shack, and Tortilla Joe's in DD (but we buy off the Cantina, a walk up window outside).

There's a HomeTown Buffet west on Katella about a mile (near Food 4 Less) and a better one (IMO) a couple of miles further on Chapman, west of Brookhurst, near the Bank of America. That would be southwest of DL and the Katella HomeTown.

Mimi's is great but Joe's Crab Shack is awesome. I love seafood and the BBQ Crab is fantastic. Besides the environment is something to behold.
