I have a question and I'm not really sure whether it has been answered yet. I skimmed/read the dinning plan overview, but here it goes:

My husband is NOT one to really go to a nice table service restaraunt more than once or twice on a trip. Plus, I have 2 year twins, so I really don't know how they would handle it either.

With the regular dinning plan, since you get so many credits for each kind of meal does it REALLY matter how you use the points?

I mean if we only eat at a TS restaraunt 2 or 3 times will we have TS credits left over that we didn't use? Or can we use TS credits for CS food and snacks?

Well...why wouldn't I just the CS dinning plan then??? :lmao:

I'll still ask it anyway even though my mouth(or in this case fingers) are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ahead of my mental proccessing.

In general, no, you cannot trade credits of one type for another. In your situation, I would recommend the quick service dining plan (QSDP) over the other dining plans, and just pay out-of-pocket for the few table service meals.

If you are not planning on using the TS credits anyway-go with the QS plan. I can understand no wanting to spend 1-2 hours trying to have a sit-down meal with 2 yr old twins.:scared:

Even if you schedule a couple of character buffets, the QS plan will work out better for you. You cannot exchange TS credits for CS credits. The only exception is during FD-if TS restaurants are all booked they may let you exchange(no guarantees).

I would get the QS plan or just pay OOP as you go.

Not all of the TS restaurants are fancy. You don't have to dress up!

Maybe you can convince him that the character buffets/family style meals are great. The kids can see the characters without waiting in lines.

When are you going? I found the TS a great way to get out of the sun. It gave us more energy after sitting in A/C for a while.

If you are going on free dining, Disney generally announces before that starts that you can trade TS for CS and extras. Last year it was an extra snack OR a mesh bag.

If you're not going on free dining, and you don't think you will use the TS credits for TS meals, it might be better to either look into the quick service plan or consider not using a dining plan at all. If you are paying $40 a night for adults and you don't intend to use table service, it probably won't save you any money over not using any dining plan. If all you are interested in is the convenience factor that's one thing, but if you are looking to save money, the dining plan might not save you any in this situation.
