I am new to the Disney planning. We just recently decided to go to WDW next September. Do they do the free dinning plan every year. How do you hear about specials that they are having. We will probably not book until next February will the specials be out by then or should we wait? I do not know anything about this and need a lot of help. Thanks, Kacie

1) Free dining has only happened this year and last. As to if they will continue to do it every year is unknown.
2) There are many ways to find out what type of special offers Disney is offering. Some people get post cards, emails, know of sites that list discounts, sometimes Disney will air commercials for their offers, WDW's website, and Disney Visa (I'm sure there are other ways).
3) I want to think that special offers are not released until three or four months before the time.

I always check their website. There has been a Fall special ,of some kind, the last few years. If you call Disney and don't mention a special, you won't get it. You have to be aware of what is going on. As mentioned in the prior post, the free dining is new and this is the second time being offered.

Just a little aside. For the past year (since free dining last year) there were a lot of questions if Disney would offer it again. Many of us felt that they wouldn't. And to much of our surprise (and we were REALLY surprised), they offered it again this year.

Disney usually ALWAYS has a discount going on. BUT sometimes those discounts are for Florida residents or Annual Pass holders ONLY.
