FINALLY have some family with us who can watch the 3 kids while we dine alone. We'll be staying at the BCV in January. Any recommendations? I was thinking Shula's but am open to other ideas.

What do you think?

Happy Holiday's

My DW and I have always enjoyed a nice dinner at Artist Point in WL.

If it were me I'd definitely eat somewhere in the BW/Swan/Dolphin/BC area and then spend some time at Jellyrolls afterward.

DH and I are trying to decide the same thing. We've got one night out too. Past favorites have been PYC and Artist point. Husband had dinner at Flying Fish once when in Orlando on business. He loved it.

This year, if it's a warm evening, I think we'll do late reservation at Rose and Crown and sit outside for Spectro. Did that before, and it was great.

If it's cold, then we're are thinking maybe Jiko or Flying Fish.

Ugh, so many choices, so little time!

I've heard good things about Shula's, we plan to eat there on our next trip.
We have always really enjoyed the Portobello Yacht Club at Downtown Disney.

My DH and I just had a night out to ourselves this past weekend -- without the kids -- and went to Artist Point at WL. DH is still raving about the Cedar Plank Salmon. He's even vowed to stay at WL next time because of Artist Point.

If you folks are beefeaters then there is only choice. Shula's. Although it is pricey it is worth EVERY penny.

Assuming you want to stay in the Beach Club area, then Shula's would be the top spot for steak--with Yachtsman Steakhouse as a runner-up. Flying Fish is an excellent restaurant and, I'm told, has an excellent steak entree.
If Italian is a possibility, then Palio at the Swan is a nice adult-oriented spot.

My husband and I had a GREAT meal at Flying Fish sunday night. It was by far the best meal we had at WDW.

Went to Jiko on the first night of our honeymoon trip. it was a nice start!

We too just had dinner at Flying Fish, one of our favorites, especially without our 6 year old. It is pricey, as we don't leave for under $150 for the two of us, of course we have appetizer and dessert. Miss the chocolate lava cake, (anyone have the Recipe?) The food however is well worth the price and the atmoshpere is quite nice not many if any children. Don't get me wrong, but our one night out without our son is nice, then I see someone with theirs and I miss mine. So you understand what I'm saying. Of course, he's with his grandma so he is well taken care of and spoiled. Love vacations with mom.

We have also eaten and enjoyed dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. As well as Portabella, both without our 6 year old.

Good luck hope you enjoy yourselves.

Diane

Thanks everyone. Might be either Shulas or Flying Fish. Might not need PS for January so we'll decide when we arrive.

Side note - Been to VWL obviously and finally got to eat at Artist Point. WOW. We'll do that again down the road.

More ideas? Shout.

Happy Holidays

Go and try Jiko's at The Animal Kingdom Lodge, it is our favorite restaurant on Disney property. We just ate ther again last Friday and loved it as usual. Tha food and service are out of this world.

Another vote for the Flying Fish, especially if you want to eat near BCV and enjoy the Boardwalk afterward. We dined there a few weeks ago. The potato wrapped Red Snapper, one of their signature dishes, is consistently excellent. We even got dessert this last time, the Napoleon. It was great even though it did not look like a traditional Napoleon.

A hot fudge sundae at Beaches and Cream is not a bad idea for dessert on your way back to BCV. ;)

Artist Pointe is also a favorite of ours. Enjoy!!
