Hi there,

It will be my daughters birthday whilst we are in Orlando, I would like to arrange a meal out to mark the occassion, I have been looking at dinner with Shamu, and it seems pretty reasonable, has anyone been? would you recommend? If not, could you recommend something worth doing? Many thanks, Kelly

the food was good. A trainer talked alot and the whale just swam around, not much of a show. We expected more of a show but it was nice to be that close to whale and watch him. My kids enjoyed it. It was a very relaxing meal. princess:

maybe do a princess meal instead if she is the girly type. princess:

We have not been to the Seaworld in Orlando, we actually plan to go during our upcoming visit to Central Florida. We have been to Sea World - San Antonio and we have done the dinner with Shamu and thoroughly enjoyed it. In San Antonio, one of the trainers walked around during dinner and answered any questions people had. After dinner there was a show/demonstration with the whales. We found it very informative and awe inspiring to be that close to the whales. I'm not sure we would ever do it again, but we don't have any regrets about doing it.

My son(8) loves whales-so we did this show as a special time for him-there was 8 of us that went-as another post said-the trainer talked a little and the whale just swam around. The food was fine, although very rushed :worried: , but I felt that it was a big waste of money. My son was terribly disappointed-SW hypes this and makes it out to be something it isn't. I would never do it again-wish I hadn't done it at all.

I did this program and it was the best part of the day!! Despite the pouring rain that we had to stand in before it started :crazy2: There is no interaction between you and the orcas but the trainers put on a show and there is lots of opps to talk to them personally. You sit right next to the pools so VERY close. The food was really good too. It was buffett style. Very good exp and I would do it again in a heartbeat :teeth:

We've booked Dine with Shamu on our upcoming trip in December, we're hyped up about it because we will be eating right next to Shamu! :) It's for the experience of a lifetime and there will not be a show, we're not expecting it at all :sunny: Just knowing you will be sitting next to Shamu having dinner is what we are expecting and we are thrilled about doing this!

We will be spending our whole day there so we will be going to the Shamu show and this will be the perfect ending to a perfect day! :Pinkbounc

We did this last year with our teenagers.... it was a nice evening and we're glad we did it once. The meal was good but we wouldn't do it again because of the expense. The trainer talked for a few minutes and Shamu splashed but it wasn't much of a show. It was nice being outside next to the tank though - bring a jacket if it's at all chilly. I would rather put the money into Discovery Cove (still want to this someday!)
