Dinner with 3yo at Boardwalk/DTD

My wife and I are making the one hour trip over to Disney with our 3 year old son for one night over the 4th of July. We're mainly going to get out of town and see some fireworks (we're staying at the Swan and will watch them from the balcony from our room) and won't be visiting the parks this time. We had planned on bumming around the Boardwalk area and DTD and are looking for any suggestions of fun/appropriate places to eat dinner with our son. Any good suggestions? Thanks!!

not sure if the "animals or dinosaurs" at the restaurants in DTD would freighten him, but those would be good choices--Rainforest or TRex. boardwalk.....can't think of any.....sorry.

Thanks! Actually, those two restaurants were going to be my choices but my wife has friends who have taken their small children to both and have reported that they can be a little dark and loud whenever the "shows" start. What about at any of the reorts surrounding these areas?

how does your son react to the dark and loud sounds?? in the boardwalk area is beaches and cream ice cream parlor. that might be fun. they serve burgers, etc in addition to the ice cream creations. there is a character breakfast at the beach club. i can't think of anywhere else other than the previous ones suggested for DTD. good luck
