Hello all!
We are going to Disney & Universal in January and we just decided to add a day at Sea World. We have never been before and have three boys ages 8, 6 1/2 & 4 1/2. I booked the dinner with Shamu on line because it sounded like something we would enjoy. I have my confirmation and I have a question. How can I find out what time out Seating is?? It says we have 1st seating, when is that?? Also are there any threads reviewing the dinner w/Shamu? Any feedback would be great!! Thanks!!

When you get to the park, go to the Dine with Shamu Reservations counter located inside the park (you can ask at Guest Relations where it is) and they can tell you what time your reservation is for. Make sure you have your on-line reservation receipt and your photo ID. As far as I know they only have 1 seating per day. My DD8 and I did this just three weeks ago and our seating was for 5 which was just after the last Shamu show for the day. The buffet was very good, especially for the kids and the desserts were to die for. My daughter and I had a table right next to where Shamu comes out of the pool for a close up and let me tell you, my daughter was amazed at how close we were to him! It was definately worth the money and I would recommend this to everyone. When we go back in a few years, this will definately be on our list of things to see and do. Enjoy!!

As previously answered, you can find out when you get to the park but our seating was 3:45 already on Oct. 17th. It worked out fine but I was a little surprised at the early hour - glad we were at the park soon after opening so we could plan our meals around that time.

Thanks for the heads up about the possibility of the early dinner hour. I had planned on taking our time getting there in the morning to make sure we had enough to do to get us to dinner, but now maybe we head right over, eat a late breakfast/early lunch so we're prepared for a 4:00 dinner!!

Thanks all!!

You can also call SeaWorld Dining (1-800-327-2420 ) a couple weeks before your visit, and they may have the time set by then. Generally, there can be 2 seatings in peak season (summer) and 1 in the off-season.

I did express my displeasure to them that they couldn't/wouldn't set the times farther in advance, it makes it hard for planning a day with small children if you don't know if dinner is going to be at 3:45 or 6:45. However, I think you'll be thrilled with the program, we all LOVED it!

We did this when visiting Sea World in Sand Diego last summer. I made the reservation via phone a good 10 months in advance, and from what I saw, where you sit is based upon how early you book (we were in the front row right next to the pool; other were way back and off to the sides).
