Dinner Vs. Lunch for Table Service

So I was thinking, about using my table service for lunch instead of dinner.
What is the differnce between the two using table service?

Also --- In Alice in Wonderland (J.Depp Version) why does the white queen (Anne Hathaway) walk with her hands up in the air? It looks sooo weird.

Randomness.

I like table service at lunch during the warmer months because it's a nice break from the heat.

And I can't stand the White Queen's dark eyebrows.

I've noticed that the prices tend to be lower at lunchtime, while perusing allears and the menus here at wdwinfo.

If your'e on a dining plan you won't notice that, but if you want the biggest bang for your buck, you might want to choose dinner, just b/c you're getting more expensive stuff for the cost of your table service credits. :)

my Alice question...

Why on earth didn't they just have Elijah Wood play the Mad Hatter, instead of taking all that time, effort, and makeup to make Johnny Depp look just like Frodo with a wig on?

I also like lunch for table service in the summer because of the heat. I would check the menus to make sure your favorites are available for lunch first. Another consideration is if the budget is important the lunch meal will usually be less expensive which will allow for a smaller tip.

I agree if you'd like to get the most value for the dining plan, then go with dinner as your TS credit. If you're paying out of pocket, lunch is a better option because entree's are cheaper and it's usually easier to get in.

My Alice Question: Why does JD speak in an Irish accent in different parts throughout the film? Strange...

It depends on where I'm dining. A resort dinner or theme park lunch. Certain parts of the year, lunch is easier to get reservations. I usually wound up using the TS credits for character meals, because my ex ONLY ate off the kids menu. I couldn't fathom paying for an adult to eat like a child. But since no matter where we ate, she'd still be using a TS credit, I found it best to use it on the character meals. Almost any other place, she would order a kids meal, which would've been a waste of money on the Dining Plan.

Don't forget to plan your night time enjoyment around dinner too. Whether you want to grab a bite to eat and stake a spot out for parade/fireworks, or dine at a location with viewing for it.

I haven't seen the new Alice, and probably wont. It scares me.

As others have said--dinner costs more than lunch so if you are looking at it as wanting to get the most monetary value for your credits dinner is the way to go.

Menus can vary a bit too. I prefer the lunch menus at a couple of locations. Some all you can eat places offer a bit more at dinner than at lunch (an example is that Garden Grill includes salad at dinner but not lunch--or at least that used to be the case).

All of that said, we often prefer to do lunch as our big sit down meal for the day. It is nice to get a "break" and sit for a while in a climate controlled environment midday. It also gets us out of the crowds in what is often the busiest part of the day. We also just prefer to have our big meal around 1:00 or 2:00 and something lighter closer to bedtime. So fur us, the value is in the experience and not the cost--thus we find lunch works better on full days at the park, and dinner on days we want to relax more, end early and go out somewhere nice (like Artist's Point:love:).

Oh, and about the PPs statement-if you are THAT picky you can order an adult sized portion of a kid's meal. DS was a Disney adult on our last trip and did that about half the time. He got just as much food on his plate as everyone else--so I do not really see the wasted money issue. It was a waste to be there with all those great choices and end up with grilled cheese and chicken fingers several times--but ah well. It is vacation; not the time to stress about forcing someone to try new things.

It's not an Irish accent, it's a scottish accent. lol. They only did that when he was looking back on past events. (Why does he do it because he's completely bonkers/crazy/mad!)

We usually do breakfast or lunch for table service. We did a couple of lunch tough. They were late. We had a small breakfast and no dinner as our lunch was at 2pm. Was nice.
