Is a 7:00pm ADR too late for an 8:00pm Spectro? If so, what is the latest time you would book? TIA :)

That should be a perfect time but if you are wanting to sit at your table and watch spectro I think you will need to request an outside table once you get to the podium (although I think i read somewhere that they are no longer taking requests for those...but maybe I am wrong) :confused3 It may take a little longer to get an outside table than just accepting the next available, so i would show up about 20-25 minutes earlier than your ADR time.

Thanks for the info. :) We're usually too shy to ask for a special seating location, but maybe I can talk my DH into it. ;) If we're seated elsewhere, can we step out onto the porch to watch the parade then return to finish our dinner?

We did the same thing that PP mentioned..Tony's outside seat, etc. and we had somewhat of an obstructed view.

Our service was super fast though, so we were able to just finish before the parade started and grabbed a seat on the sidewalk.

Hopefully, we can time it right. I'd hate for my DS's girlfriend to miss the parade. She's never seen it. If nothing else, I suppose we could send them out to watch it, while we finished up & paid. Is there usually room outside the restaurant to stand & watch? (Other than in from of the restaurant windows, of course.) We wouldn't want to block anyone's view. Thanks again for your help.

Does anyone know the answer to the highlighted part above? TIA :)

If I remember correctly I would sat only on the proch/entry area or on the street.

This is always a good seat (bench in front of Tony's):rotfl:

No but really you can see the table right behind us on the patio. They are right up to the railing. I am not sure if they would allow people who are sitting inside to crowd around but there is some free space.

Thanks for the reply. Fun pic! :) I have walked by Tony's so many times you'd think I'd have the entire area memorized. Alas, Im just not seeing it. :sad2: I didn't realize any of the tables were out in the open. I thought there was glass surrounding them. Shows what I know. :p In my defense, we haven't eaten there yet. ;) I hope we can enjoy our meal & the parade w/o missing out on either. :wizard:

Our reservations were about an hour before Spectro and because of the fast service we were finishing up right as the parade started. We arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled reservation time as to request a table outside and we were seated within 15 minutes. But, our view was just a little distorted by the crowd that gathered in front of the restaurant. It was still a great way to enjoy the parade!

I'm glad that timing worked out for you. Hopefully, we'll get lucky too. :goodvibes
