:confused3 Sorry should have asked this with my other questions.
We are booked in main sitting which I believe is at 6.pm, silly question I know but does everyone get there at 6 on the dot, I should imagine you would due to the turnaround in the dining rooms but I don't want to be queing waiting to be let in the restaurants :confused3
Please help and explain how it works

You don't have to wait in line to enter the dining rooms. If you get there at 6 or soon after that will be fine. The table next to us was quite a show. They came in with thin strapped tops & shorts & flipflops on formal night at 7. It could have completely thrown our servers off since that was their table as well. They had to rush them along to catch up with everyone else.

Oh yes, everyone will be at the dining rooms when the doors open. If they aren't, it is very rude. Especially if you are seated with other people, very rude to keep the table waiting. Definately be early/on time for dinner.

We usually arrived just before they opened the doors, and have had to wait on occassion, but usually there is no line. It sometimes is beyond your control if you are a little late and understandable. We had table mates last year that ran a few minutes late (once almost 15 mins) and our server did not keep us waiting until they arrived.

Just wanted to clarify that I meant a few minutes after the doors open was fine. The less waiting in line the kids have to do...the better IMO. On our last cruise we were right with our tablemates though, so noone had to wait on anyone. :)

Since it is a different restaurant every night, are you escorted to your table? How else would you know where to go?

On the 7 day cruises you give one of the servers at the door your table number & they escort you there. After the first time in the dining room we just remembered where it was.

The dining rooms seat very fast. There will be a crowd waiting outside the dining room just before the doors open, but everyone will be seated within a couple of minutes, once the doors are open there is no long wait.

Things are just a bit slower on the first night, but the dining room is very efficient.

They escort you to your table every night. It's quite nice!! :wave2:

Our server asked us (on the first night) to please try to arrive a minute or two before the dining room opened. He felt that if everyone was there on time, he would be able to get our orders in quickly and get our meals to us. He made it clear that he wasn't trying to rush us and we were welcome to linger over dessert as long as we liked....he just didin't want us waiting for our food!

Yes, there is frequently a line outside the dining room. However, it moves very quickly as soon as the doors open. You are escorted to your table each night. Arriving more than a few minutes late really is rude to your serving team as well as anyone else at your table.
