We are getting married October 5th at the Wedding Pavilion. We'd like to have some kind of get together the night before the wedding so everyone can get to know each other and we can work out some logistics for the wedding day. Does anyone have any suggestions for restaurants (not too expensive) where we could have 20 people for dinner (possibly even a private room)? I'd be interested in hearing where others have had their "rehearsal" dinner or get together.

Thanks for any help you can give.

We are doing a welcome party/ rehersal dinner the night before the wedding and are hopefully going to use Ohana's as long as we have under 60 people or so. There are many options if you have a smaller party and any of the restaraunts in the resorts would be appropriate IMO. If your rehersal is at the wp then a monorail resort rest. such as GF, contemporary or poly would be the best option.

You can check out menus at www.allearsnet.com in the dining section for ideas on menus and pricing. It is my experience few rest in Disney have private rooms but I believe whispering canyon cafe, 1800 park fare, fulton's crabhouse and the Califormia grill are a few that do.Good luck with your decision.

We had dinner at O'Hana the night before our wedding. It was also my birthday that day, so I had a birthday celebration too!
The food was FABULOUS!. We were right next to where they bbq'd the food, and my guests loved it. You can eat as much as you like and I think it was something like $22 for adults and $11 for children. I also think that soft drinks were included, though I would double check that.
The entertainment was just finishing as we were being seated (9pm). But they apparently did Hoola hooping and games for children, as well as singing etc.
We gave it the thumbs up.

we had our rehearsal dinner 3 nights before the wedding at whispering canyon cafe at the wl with 13 guests, it was nice & so much fun there. i had the dinner billed to my master account & it ended up costing about $400 for all of us with appetizers, dinner entrees, drinks & a personalized cake.

we then had a welcome dinner for all of our 50 guests sunday night 2 nights before the wedding at the rainforest cafe at dtd. we had tons of food & were on the private amazon terrace on the lake, in all it cost just under $2000. this was real convininient though since all our guests & us could just take the buses from the disney resorts to dtd & back. alot of our guests also stayed after dinner & explored dtd.
