I am confused. I know that dinner shows such as the Spirit of Aloha take two dining credits, but does that include the show? or is the show extra to the $60 that they reckon the food would cost if we didn't have the dining plan. Please help I am a disney virgin.

I don't understand your question, but if you are asking if there is an additional charge on top of the meal, no there is not. You pay a set price, whether cash or credits, and it includes dinner and the show.

That is what I thought, but that doesn't explain why when I attempted to reserve three seats/buffet using my Dining Plan it wanted to charge my credit card for three seats/buffets.

You need to specifically link your dining plan if you want to use the dining credits. Online near the bottom of the Spirit of Aloha luau reservation page you have to click on the blue link that says something to the effect of "Use a dining plan for this prepaid dining reservation" and follow the directions. You will still have to give credit card info for the cancellation/no show guarantee, but when it comes to the payment page it should show $.00 total.

Also, only certain showtimes/seating categories are included in the dining plan so be sure you've chosen the correct ones.

Sometimes the online system has glitches so if it wants you to pay, you should call the dining line and have a CM make the res for you.

Also you can only book cat 2 or 3. You can not book cat 1 with the dining plan. Another reason to call WDW dining and let a CM do it for you. Good luck!!
