There's really just the two:
The "Hoop De Doo Musical Review" at Ft. Wilderness.
and the "Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show" (formerly Polynesian Luau) at the Poly.

Of the two, the "Hoop" is the hands-down favorite.
(And certainly that's true with our family.)

Its not inexpensive but I've seen even the "teen-angst-type" kids laugh and have a great time here.
Pretty good BBQ ribs, fried chicken and (who can forget) Strawberry Short Cake.
All-you-can-eat, served family style by the best wait-staff anywhere.

But you know your family better than we can from across the cyber-sphere.

If you decide you want Hoop tickets, they can be ordered up to TWO YEARS in advance (its a popular show!)

And, BTW, we will BE THERE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!!
"Yaw-Hoo, (stomp-stomp) Hoop-De-Doo!" :goodvibes

My DH and stepson have never been to any of the dinner shows. I have been to the Spirit of Aloha and Hoop Dee Doo (my son has also been to both)

This year we're going to the luau. I let DS (13) pick which one he thought the whole family would enjoy most. His reasoning was that his dad and brother would enjoy the "scenery" (girls) at the luau the most! :rotfl2:

I have to say that I enjoyed both of them equally. The food is ok at both shows. Nothing outstanding, but we've always come away satisfied. We really enjoy the shows. That's what we go for...not the food...so we always have a good time.

Also, DH and both sons favorite restaurant is 'Ohana...so I hope they enjoy the luau.

Hoop-De-Doo is a must see! We make plans every visit. It's as funny the tenth time as the first.

DH & I have been to Hoop Dee Doo once and we thought it was really a great show. In November we're taking all the kids and Grandma too--11,13,19, and 73! It's a corny show and the food is plentiful & tasty.

We have been to the Spirit of Aloha and HDDR. My DS, now 16, saw the SOA the first time when he was 10, then in 2004 we saw both. So this year I let him pick one and he chose HDDR. He said he liked the show and the food better there than at SOA.
