Dinner Shows in January

Wondering, maybe based on the past, how often and which days the Spirit of Aloha and Mickey's Backyard BBQ are going to be during January 2014? I assume, since it's an indoor show, that Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Review is the same as usual; Every night with 3 different show times? Thanks very much in advance for any information anyone can provide!!

I think the luau is ending late this fall (permanently maybe?) due to construction.

Mickey's BBQ generally doesn't run in January because it's too cold at night. Your best bet in Jan is the Hoop de Doo. Also, there may only be 1 or 2 shows of Hdd as the demand for tix is much lower.

Really wish there was a stock image where the jaw is hitting the floor- is this for real? Where have you heard such information? That's crazy! If anything, I hope they reopen it with a facelift or what-not... :-(

Boo Hiss! It's Florida for goodness sake! January can still hit high 70's-low 80's. Pish! I wonder when this kind of info regarding January will be available... Any guesses? Thanks very much!!

I either read it on the Dining board or maybe saw it on Tikiman's site. I can't remember, but I don't believe I just made it up in my head. (But you never know!). If I see it again, I will pay more attention.

"One new item of info that supports the theory of phase 1 being on the luau side is some info that October 1 will be the last showing of the Spirit of Aloha show at Luau cove. Now I trust the info but as far as it being something that will for sure happen I don’t know that I am 100% sure of that. They were surprised also since there are bookings out to December but they were told that the show will end in October. There was even some discussion of some announcement around that time but we will have to see if that happens or not.

The information I have been getting over the last few years is that the show will be moved indoors (as discussed in my other articles) but there will be a big gap between it closing and finding a new home..." .

It rarely stays that warm at night though. It's usually in the 50's. I believe it is an every January thing. I've been in Jan many times and never been able to book it.

We were there this past January and it was chilly at night and in the morning. Hat and sweatshirt chilly! But I did the same thing and tried to book the backyard BBQ haha. They should have heating lamps .
